“Maybe that was me - I watch all my TV with closed captioning; a habit that started when the kids were little and I didn’t want them to wake up from the TV sound.”
I thought it was me only. I would be hard for me to follow the plot if I don’t know the names of the characters.
Do they soften the British accent in DA to attract more audience?
I don’t have any problem understanding the accents :D.
Reminds me of when a friend of mine had seen the Billy Elliot movie then rented if and watched it with her kids with closed caption. She had no idea how much bad language was in it till she used closed caption.
I watched a special on PBS – The Manners of Downtown Abbey. It was wonderful. It gave a good background of what the upper class social norms were back then. Very, very interesting.
Stayed up until 2:30am binge watching it to the finish. I couldn’t take the wait. It was worth it! It certainly picks up steam as it goes. Nighty night. I-)
