:) thanks, Musica!

too funny!

LOL! thanks

Anyone catch the Downton Abbey references during last night’s Modern Family episode?

Yes - it cracked me up! Though it went by so fast I had to replay it to make sure I heard it right.

Best season 3 trailer yet. Something to look forward to in the dark, cold months of January & February.[Let?s Discuss the New Downton Abbey Trailer! – Vulture](<a href=“Let’s Discuss the New Downton Abbey Trailer!”>Let’s Discuss the New Downton Abbey Trailer!)

Thanks for posting that, 2VUD6091. I can’t wait for the new season!

Wait, SHIRLEY MACLAINE is playing Lady Grantham’s mother? That just might be too good to be true. Please, writers, let’s have some Maggie Smith showdowns…

I can’t wait. Isn’t there some way to watch online? I can’t afford a weekly trip to England…

Sign up for tunnelbear. You can watch English TV online using it. It is free for the first 500 MB but you can get an extra 1000MB free by tweeting about tunnelbear. Or pay $5 a month for unlimited.

swimcatsmom-Once you download tunnelbear, how do you watch?

So glad I’m not American, I would hate to have to wait until January for season 3. Is this post sufficiently teasing? Hope so.

Just blasted through seasons one and two on borrowed DVDs. Season two was a total soap opera, what with the issue of the broken p****, the convenient death of Lovenia, the amnesiatic burn victim and the never ending drama of Bates.

However, I will be wearing my “Free Bates” tee shirt, and watching every minute of season three.

And, by the way could someone please iron my newspapers?

If there’s a will, there’s a way.

I’ve been watching Season 3 and I am in CA.

I’m watching season 3 also. To use tunnelbear, you just open it up, set it to UK, and turn in on. When you open your browser–chrome in my case–it opens to the UK version. Search for ITV Player and you will be able to select and play Downton Abbey.

One caveat: the free data limit for tunnelbear is not enough to make it through a whole episode. I tried doing the twitter thing to increase my limit, but it didn’t work. I broke down and paid for unlimited, which is under $5 per month. I figure that I will keep it long enough to finish the season of DA. Unless, of course, I discover some other British TV series I can’t watch any other way.

I’m STILL in shock over last week’s ep. I mean, I predicted it would happen since this summer, but I wasn’t prepared for the WAY it happened - if that makes sense. JF is really getting sloppy with his writing - there is no way that is medically possible AND they had treatments for that back then. ::EYEROLL:: Is this vauge enough?

According to the Mayo Clinic website it is quite possible. As to treatments available then, I cannot say.

I am hooked on this show. I already preordered the UK season 3 on DVD!

I think the medical inaccuracies are the least of these teleplays problems. The social and historical inaccuracies are much more glaring. My favorite from last season----that a soldier could spend lovely weekends at home while fighting WWI during the work week.

I think I will pass on the new season.

swimcatsmom and Consolation, thank you for the tunnelbear info! Works like a charm. So happy to be able to keep up with Downton Abbey. : )
