Dressing Young 2025

Thanks, will check out the sale items!

Someone from here recommended Garnet Hill after I wasn’t able to find any I liked/fit well, and I found one I really liked/looked good on me, including a swim skirt (so I got tankini top, bottom, and a swim skirt in same pattern). They have some on sale right now, but not the one I got.

Marilyn thanks for the HerRoom link! I liked a lot of their options. I usually get two piece suits for sizing and having the bra sizes looks great!

OMG! I’m definitely dressing young. I bought a pair of jeans our fashion guru @conmama recommended. They will be a gift for the little kid the fashionista. After trying them on, I fell in love! So a second pair has been acquired. :smiling_face_with_sunglasses: Not sure who will be wearing them…

Aren’t they absolutely adorable? And not stiff. They really don’t look “too young” either after you have them on. What footwear will you use? I’m going to wear a silver ankle strap sandal with a block heel. I can wait to wear them. So glad you love them, too.

When my black ones arrive, I’ll let you know.

I’m definitely going with a heel! Probably something from my summer collection of my RealReal finds.

And I’m in love with the denim. Very soft and stretchy yet doesn’t look cheap. No wrinkling or losing shape. I wonder if I should try their other jeans… can always return to Nordstrom.

Thank you so much for the recommendation!

What top will you wear? I think I have about 3 I can use. Unfortunately I can’t tuck in tops anymore without a blazer, so that won’t work. I need something with a small peplum to hide a mommy tummy a bit.

So, I suffer from insomnia. Which, since I’m retired, I’m okay with fir the most part. The downside is I online shop. Argh.

I just bought this maxi this morning. 30% of Boston Proper right now with the code Family2025 if anyone is interested. I’m looking for dresses to take on vacation later this year. It’s lined, so we’ll see. I get hot easily.

Very attractive. I just wonder about wrinkling as I hate ironing of steaming.

It’s Mostly viscose. In the summer I steam all the time.

I have other Rothy shoes, but went into the Rothy store we now have at the upscale mall near me and ended up with these.

They are so cute and will look great with both dresses and jeans for the spring and summer. They feel comfortable to walk in already so I think they will be great for Paris in August!

Trying to figure out what jeans you are referring to. Do you have a link? I don’t live near a Nordstrom’s- so would have to order.

They are full length, not cropped. They may be sold out on Nordstrom, but you can order from them directly. There may be other places.

Very nice! For some reason, I can’t wear their flats, but a pair of Rothy’s loafers is my go to pair of shoes!

I’m thinking a shorter top like my Doen blouse that does not need to be tucked in or just the opposite, a bodysuit that looks like a neatly tucked in tee.

The bodysuit tee looks like this but not a string version and not that brand (just can’t find the one I have anymore online)

You must have a flat tummy to be able to wear those tops with those jeans! The great thing about 3% spandex is they are so comfortable, the bad is they don’t hold in! I think your tops will look very cute, thos jeans are made for all of it to be seen! But like I said, I need to hide a little. I tried on all my tops I have and I’m very satisfied. I have 2 more casual, one is an off the shoulder and the other has a cute peplum.

I tried this top I bought last year just curious, and surprisingly it looks fabulous for a more dressier ensemble. So now I can dress up,or down. I wasn’t sure how it would look not being fitted at the top, with wider legs, but I’m about 5’11” in my heels, so I think it’s balanced well enough.

The bodysuit I have is great at tummy flattening! I unfortunately cut off the tags so don’t remember what brand it was. I also have a long sleeve bodysuit by Wolford, and those are also great as “mini-Spanx.”

That doen top

I saw this one from Anthropologie that seems similar that I’ve been eyeing

The doen top is beautiful, but not in my price range.
I do like the Anthropologie top @deb922 posted so I may order that.

I like the Anthropologie top. I have the Doen blouse courtesy of my sister cleaning out her closet. I love the style but wouldn’t have bought it for myself. It is short so only pair it with more high waisted bottoms.
I want to order a few summer dresses. I also have a wedding in early summer that lends itself to a more casual summer dress. Anyone order from Tuckernuck? I am getting lots of ads from them.

I ordered the Anthro top in the neutral print. It’s selling fast.

Thanks for enabling me!
