I have those buddhagirl bracelets also. I love that they come in sizes and don’t make noise
Me, too! That’s what I have and love it. In the summer I wear a large white Capri Watch I bought in….Capri! But you can buy online.
I have a similar Michele watch that I used to always wear until I got my Apple Watch. I need to pull out my Michele watch and start wearing it again because I do love it.
After destroying a couple of mechanical watches while putting a sample into a large magnet to take its NMR spectrum, I went watch- and bracelet-less and still do not wear them. Just a habit. But I love to see everyone’s watches and bracelets!
I admire bracelets but have lost several—-they popped off my arm when I was at an event and never was able to find. Watches are nice, especially when they automatically adjust the time to whatever time zone I’m in. I hate when bracelets snag clothing though, but do like them when I remember to wear them, especially more delicate chain link bracelets (I’ve been known to wear several at the same time).
I love the practicality of the Apple Watch—it lets me set a timer as well as an alarm as to when to wake up. I don’t find the oximetry function very handy as it often won’t give any reading and I find that irksome. I used to like having an analog watch but it didn’t automatically adjust to different time zones when I traveled and didn’t have a timer or alarm function. I’ve become accustomed to this Apple Watch—it just works.
I usually have my iphone mini in my pocket, which has time (accurate during travel too). After my timex broke, I tried not replacing it. Finally decided to just get a cheap watch from Walmart before doing a group ski day. (I’d consider an Apple watch, except I really don’t like running with a watch.)
This week I’ll be getting a new battery for my nice gold watch. My husband bought it for Mother’s Day the first year we were empty nesters… thought that was really sweet. It’s a little larger than I would have picked, but I’ve come to really like wearing it to church and when dressing up.
I bought a fancy beaded band for my Apple watch to wear at D’s wedding. She gave me the side eye while we were getting dressed, so I asked if putting the watch’s face toward my palm would be okay. She said yes. (Had to get my steps in on the dance floor )
I returned the dress yesterday. I’m 5’1”. An XXS would have been good, but not made
I wear mostly white gold or platinum jewelry. They are not dangly. e.g. diamond studs. I usually wear a nice watch. I have started to wear jade bracelet sometimes. I bought a nice one when I was in Asia last year. D1 asked for one for Christmas and it perked my interest.
A bit off topic, but how many of us with an Apple Watch wear it all the time? I feel naked without a watch, and as of late, I only wear my Apple Watch. I do have an Ebel, which was my everyday watch until 2020 when I purchased the Apple watch. I have only worn my Ebel to a couple of weddings, once with a dead battery just to have a watch on my arm! The Ebel seems so little now, and I prefer my Apple watch with the wider band.
I have looked on Amazon for a decent metal band to use for dress affairs, but haven’t found anything I love. Now that the Ebel has a new battery, I guess I will stick with it for dress.
The only time I haven’t worn my Apple Watch in recent memory was for my daughter’s wedding. I wore bracelets to cover the tan lines.
I do have a nicer band for special occasions but it’s a sports watch. It’s a habit I can’t and don’t want to break.
The first thing I do in the morning while in bed is put on my Apple Watch. It’s the last thing I do at night. 365 days of the year.
I did wear mine to my daughter’s wedding. I bought a nicer band for it. I was not dressed formally (no MOB gown for me!) but nicely. And the last thing my daughter would have been worried about was what watch I was wearing!!
This was the band I bought
I wear my Apple Watch every day, with the occasional oops. I forgot it when I went to the Y the other day and felt so weird…did I even work out? Haha.
Right now it has a cheap stainless mesh band on it that looks decent when I wear it someplace relatively nice.
I wear a traditional watch – a beloved gift – all the time, so no need to put it on in the morning as it never comes off at night. Ditto for the shower.
This is the band I wore to my D’s wedding. I have a small wrist and it fit well.

I couldn’t wear my Apple Watch until I retired in 2021. Now I wear it ALL THE TIME (not sleeping). I have a very nice Omega stainless and yellow gold watch that I got close to 30 years ago, and 2 gold watches I inherited. I have worn the Omega to a couple of events, but I carried my Apple Watch in my purse. I don’t like “big” watches, and I consider the Apple to be big. BUT, exercise, ya know?
I just bought a pair of leather watch bands for my Apple watch because I am tired of only having the silicone band. I think this will be a nice change up. One of the bands is black and the other is brown. They are thin so I think it will help make the watch look a bit less clunky than it normally does. They were only $15 plus tax for the pair and I should get them Sunday—Amazon.
Here is my Quince LINEN (not gauze) dress. I’m waiting for a gauze one to come in stock.
This is a medium. No showing in the arm holes! It’s the right size for me. I’m 5.65 tall and rarely wear an 8, often wear a 10, sometimes wear a 12. I don’t like things fitted!
Feels nice and well made and I just used a little Downy wrinkle spray for some wrinkles.
I’m comfortable with the length. My arms are up a little in the photos bringing the length just above my knees. Now I need my summer tan!!!
Perfect fit for you! Love it.
Yay! Glad you like it! Perfect shoe choice, too.
I honestly wish I liked this style on me. As written somewhere above (I think by you!), everyone has different preferences. We are always going to look better and feel better about ourselves wearing something that we feel suits our own personal style. “Know thyself,” is an important part of fashion, IMO.
