Dressing Young 2025

I’m very much embracing the wide leg pants and flannel look. I even have my “vintage” early 90s LL Bean flannels.

Really waiting out the barrel jeans. Would not be a good fit for pear shaped me.

I bought these Wit and Wisdom jeans several months ago and have liked them. I’m thinking of trying some of their other styles (maybe with a raw hem) and am open to other brand suggestions but don’t really want to go over $100.

I have a pair as well and really like them. Very comfortable.

Never have I been so happy to be unable to wear jeans! Until my abdomen is healed I’m relegated to soft, loose pants with an elastic or drawstring waist.
Short legs, large calves (no matter my weight), long torso, and pear-ish shape don’t go with current styles at all.
I love a mid-rise, straight leg.

“Younger” is my exercise show. I’m a little sorry I didn’t offer it to husband as one of our evening rotation. It would make a fun, light end to our TV viewing.

Statement necklaces are not my thing. But if you have some you adore, I say wear them. You’d be surprised how many clueless people (like me) are out there who have not really noticed if they are in or out of style.

I have purchased 3 pair of Wit and Wisdom jeans. Loved the first 2 pair (one is the raw hemmed!), but the pair you have referenced…not so much. The waistband is so stretchy they could be maternity jeans on me. Lesson learned - be sure you like the fit when you purchase them.

A firm NO to barrel jeans, bell bottoms, harem pants, and any of such trends.

At the moment, my favorite pair of denim like pants is the Alina pants by Cinq a Sept, pictured here on a model. Lightweight, wrinkle resistant, comfortable.

Shame on me for doing a search - wish I had never looked - beautiful clothes…but currently out of my price range :disappointed_relieved: at least until we’re done paying for college! lol

I was lucky to hit a good sale… otherwise, even with all college and grad school tuitions paid, I would have backed out of buying these pants.

I recommend RealReal - this brand seems to be always in good supply there.

Those look like my Paige jeans. Slight stretch, straight legs. I found them at Nordstrom’s Rack, 1/4 price .

Do you have a link to the ones you bought?

I agree with you. I have yet to see a model that the barrel jeans/pants flattered. They all look like they are standing bow-legged and about to mount a horse. Someone must be buying them though because the trend continues…

I never get rid of any of my jean styles - I always know they will eventually come back around.

Has anyone bought anything from Quince? I’ve looked at their website a number of times, but still haven’t purchased.

Yes, I’ve bought some cashmere sweaters and a leather moto jacket from Quince. Quality is very good for the price.

I bought a couple of blazers and a dress from Quince and agree that the quality is good for the price.

Some hits and misses. Prices are good, black friday sales really good.

Hits:

My favorite underwear, maybe ever: Second Skin Boyshort (6-pack)

Linen pants, true to size: https://www.quince.com/women/women-s-100-european-linen-wide-leg-pant

Among my favorite summer tops, roomy sizing: Women's 100% European Linen Short Sleeve Shirt

Workout tee is good, not great: Flowknit Breeze Tee

Cashmere beanie and wrap are both excellent. Cashmere Wrap | Quince
Cashmere Beanie | Quince

Misses:

Ponte pants. Just didn’t fit right. Can’t remember details, I seem to remember these fit small too. Ultra-Stretch Ponte Straight Leg Pants - Petite 28" inseam

Regular tees (don’t like the fabric, too thin, run small): https://www.quince.com/women/tees/cotton-modal-crew-neck-tee

I continue my hunt for the best tee shirt.

My D has some of the cashmere sweaters, likes them ok. They are too thin for me.

Thanks for posting those links!

I know that @FallGirl was considering doing some ordering from Quince.

I bought two items from Quince for my future DIL. Blazer and dress seemed good quality, reasonably priced. My only knock was the incessant/daily emails and texts following the purchase. Had to unsubscribe…

What do you wear with the linen pants? I always feel like it looks like I’m wearing pajamas. I have a striped pair from Costco but I don’t feel comfortable wearing them out.
