Sorry. Nude for me is crayola flesh colored. I don’t know how they would look on someone with darker skin.
For pockets, it generally means beige fabric which is much thinner than the pant fabric. Pants with white fabric inside pockets tend to show the pocket contour no matter who wears them.
You are absolutely correct that “nude” is a meaningless term. Shoe makers are moving away from it. Louboutin even has an entire collection called the Nudes - matching several skin tones, going from light beige to dark chocolate.
That makes sense. A see-through, mesh type of fabric could work for anyone. I just get a bit triggered when I see “nude” as a synonym for “beige”, even though I am the poster child for beige.
I bought a pair of white jeans at WHBM, and they also have this concealing fabric inside pockets.
I’m not sure if this website is Dressing Young since these shoes are aimed at the older population lol, but some of them are so cute!
Has anyone tried this brand???
Like I adore these

Also these especially the white

We can’t look young in any clothes if our feet hurt!
I’ll add that shoes like these COULD look clunky and old forget depending on clothing you pair with them. They look very cute with a pair of casual cropped jeans for instance!
I think those are cute, but they would never stay on my feet.
Your feet are too narrow???
Maybe. I do sometimes buy narrows. I’m not so sure it’s as much narrow as it is low volume. Not much meat on my feet! I need laces or adjustable straps. Any kind of slip on (loafer, pump, slide on with nothing across my instep) does not work unless I put in some kind of insert, heel thingie, etc. My foot tends to slide forward in those types of shoes leaving gaps at the heel.
I understand. One of the only parts of my body that are lean and not meaty is my feet! I actually thought that perhaps the structure of these - with attention to different parts of the feet/orthopedics might help without additional inserts.
That’s why I was asking if anyone had experience!
Please report back if you order and they work for you!
Never heard of this company, so no help. The pictures of the shoes look great. Wonder if the quality is good…
ETA: the reviews on TrustPilot are not that great.
I found these similar Danskins in gray at TJ Maxx and liked them so much I ordered the green from Macy’s. Very comfortable.
Re sneaker fit, I found this set of alternative lacings for various foot issues. It would not work for the decorative lace shoes, but I’m going to experiment with my new Merrill’s. I don’t run at all but hope it will help with some of my arthritic pressure points.
I agree that almost any shoe can look great and youthful if the rest of the outfit is such.
@Hoggirl -I hear you on the low volume feet thing. Same here. Slides are aptly named as they slide off of my feet as do most other shoes.
Good to know. Also good to know that website!
I also poked around Reddit, and it looks like common complaints are sizing and lack of customer support. Hmmm… personally, I love the look of the shoes, but those reviews do not instill much confidence.
They were served to me in an ad so…of course I clicked! I did get suspicious at the prices. (Lower than expected)
