I haven’t been to our local DSW recently, but in the past that store was amazing. The clearance section always had some tempting stuff at a very good discount.
I like it that our DSW collects old shoes (even if no longer wearable… they decide reuse vs recycle etc). You can get a very small credit for doing so, $5 every 2 pairs. You can bring in multiple pair, but you only get the credit one pair per week. Gives me an excuse get rid of those no longer as supportive (for me - I’m picky), then scan the clearance rack for other options.
Darn - I need to stop giving away the MANY pairs of Vans sneakers my son had and now doesn’t want, and collect my $$$
Actually, I have gotten rid of many shoes, both mine and my sons, and I’m really happy when they have a new home with someone else who will enjoy them.
Sometimes if my “give away” shoes are in tip top shape (just not working for my feet), I opt to drop them off at a favorite non-profit freebie clothing pantry.
My Kivari denim dress finally arrived! It left Australia via express mail a week ago. Spent 3 days in customs in LA (!) but finally made it into my mailbox. I was shocked that the mailman was able to stuff the package into the not so big opening.
The other dress that was ordered at the same time was coming from Europe and cleared customs on the Easy Coast very quickly.
Both dresses fit, phew.
We have a lovely consignment shop in town that just moved to a huge new location in an old warehouse. Soooo many clothing racks. For example, there is one rack for White House Black Market, two racks for Chico. Plus many rooms of various styles.
I found a nice collared sleeveless Eddie Bauer dress. It will be great for travel, packs small. I don’t see any similar on their website, but thought I’d share that there are some nice sales. Also possible $20 coupon when you click the link(?) https://www.eddiebauer.com/c/20114/women-dresses?cm_sp=topnav_w_dresses
Yes the pop up $20 comes up!
Anyone familiar with Farm Rio? They are having a good sale but sales are final.
Yep, familiar. D1 loves to order from there. Pricey but she loves her few pieces from there.
I’ve never tried the brand but I’m drawn to the fabrics.
Little kid’s husband is Brazilian so you bet she knows the brand! I have a few of their dresses, too! I buy M in Farm Rio dresses (size 6 US here, 34D). If I had even slightly bigger boobs, they would be falling out. Look up the piece you like and see if there are any reviews on other sites (FR is sold at Nordstrom, Anthropology, Saks, etc. ). FR fabrics are usually very nice, and their prints are vibrant!
Remember that conversation about what do you wish you could wear???
I wish I could wear this dress! It’s also cute and comfortable looking. The blue is . I would have no where to where it and I don’t do long AND I would also need it loose at the waist like it is on the model cause I don’t like anything tugging my waist!
I wish I could wear that! The sale items are also 50% off. I don’t think I’m going to order anything but Iove many of them.
@BunsenBurner great suggestions for looking at reviews on Nordstrom.
Super cute, but way too low cut for me
I mean I’m also assuming if I have it, I have that models body….
I would also prefer it 3 inches higher - it could be quickly adjusted with a few stitches
Love the Farm Rio dress @abasket posted!
D2 in her Farm Rio ski suit.
Amazing!!
I’d take a needle to it and make a couple of stitches to make the front more bra-friendly. I’ve done it in the past!
Agree, a few stitches would make it a big less revealing and more bra friendly. Alternatively one could wear a sports bra or a lacy camisole.
I ordered that dress in a different colorway for a wedding last year. It’s a beautiful dress, it wasn’t that low cut.
I have a FR top that I oven. Good fabric and vibrant but not garish colors. Good true fit too. I wear an xl.
