Thinking outside the box, you could go to a tailor (one that also does wedding alterations) and ask them to create a belt for the dress/see if they have belt/ribbons that could be used to make the belt you are envisioning.
We’ve had good luck with tailors coming up with solutions we wouldn’t have thought of.

Thanks for the suggestions and links. Some o really like. I actually just bought this on Poshmark. Not sure how it will look, but it’s the right size and I like the colored rhinestones. I like bling. It was only $10 so won’t break the bank if I don’t like it.

That’s a great idea and one I did think of. All I have is about 6 weeks, then I’m super busy until the wedding. Not sure I want to deal with it, but insinuate a great alterations person. Joann fabrics right by my house went out of business, so I’d run there.
Is Sundance no more? I know some folks here liked their clothes.

I was in their physical store in Tuscon earlier this year. The store was lovely.
Oh my! This has always been a source of fun, casual clothes for me.
We had a store here in our upscale mall near our house, but it closed a couple of years ago.
@BunsenBurner I regularly order from the Sundance catalogue and have for many years. Never been in an actual store. I have seen notices of these final sales and discussions on FB about it and indeed they are going out of business. At first, I was quite surprised. It’s not the only catalogue/site I get clothes from, but has been one of the main ones. Oh well.

I don’t think I bought anything from their catalog, but I remember posters mentioning Sundance occasionally in this thread. I was googling an eyelet dress and saw one I liked, then saw that Sundance is closing shop, so came here to post. I am tempted to buy the dress but hesitant because all sales are final.
There have been times when people in the cafe wanted dress suggestions and I did searches and sent links and many of those times, included dresses from Sundance.
I would be a bit hesitant to now order from Sundance if all sales are final. I suppose if there were a shirt or something in a similar style I’ve bought from them before and know it will fit, I’d consider it. But honestly, at the moment, I’m not that tempted by what’s on the site, plus some things are not marked down THAT much to be considered a final sale. I don’t really need anything anyway!

I used to order from their catalog back in the day but then the majority of their styles got to be too “wild west” for my taste (maybe I’d be all over it if I lived on the plains of Texas or in Colorado). I’m not a fan of lots of florals or embroidery on my clothing, but that’s just me. I live in the SE and I don’t really see those styles here. They do carry some higher-end non-Sundance brands that sometimes go on sale - so I would always keep an eye out. Sad to see them go under.

I’m looking for summer dresses for France in September. I keep wearing the same things I have over and over and this caught my eye as I was walking thru Macy’s. It looks really cute on and I went to buy it and didn’t look at the price until she was checking me out Gulp! But I loved it and went ahead bought it. A great day to evening dress, just change the footwear!

@conmama - I love that dress and bet it looks great on you. I wish I could wear that color, but with my light hair and fair skin it wouldn’t look good on me.

There are so many colors I love that just fade against my skin or turn it sallow. But yellow is one of my favs for me. I like colors on people where there is a contrast with the shade of hair. My DIL is a fair blonde and won’t wear yellow, either.
