Those earrings do seem to “channel” the dress, @BunsenBurner !

Those are perfect!

If you do decide to go with a metal instead of the earrings Bunsenburner linked, you need to go with silver not gold. I don’t think the gold blends well with the lavender, but silver does.

Very cute! :pink_heart:

Gen Z is apparently head over heels over Y2K fashion!

Here are 3 pairs of footwear with my dress. The gold one looks pretty in the photo, but in reality it’s as bright gold as the threads in the dress. I included an up close photo. They are extremely uncomfortable and hurt, so they are going back anyway.

The one with the bow is one I already own. It’s a taupe/champagne. I’d have to stretch them out as I was Medium width years ago when purchased. The nude ankle sandals are new. It’s ok. I’d wear it. It blends with my leg. I think I like the footwear with no ankle strap with this dress.

IRL that Gold shoes overtook the dress. Eyes went right to the feet.

I just love this dress!

I’ve ordered one more, but too many straps I think in front. It’s not in yet.

The shoes with the bow are gorgeous but they do compete with the dress ( also gorgeous). Agree that the nude shoes are fine ( I have a pair of shoes that look exactly like them) but shoes without the ankle strap would look better with the dress.

The ones with the bow are the most sturdy to wear. I feel a little bit wobbly in the ankle strap as it has a platform. But they were $48 total
So I might keep them for something else.

Thanks for chiming in!

Now that I know I like a pump, I found these open toe in a wide width! Soft gold. I think it may look very nice

without over powering the dress.

I think this might be the one! No adornment - the dress is so perfect as is.

The dress is absolutely stunning and looks amazing on you. I think the shoe you ordered could be perfect.
I might be in the minority but I think the long earrings take away from the dress.

They do look big. Maybe I’ll wear my hair down so they don’t stand out as much. I really want to wear them.

I like the one you just found (soft color) or maybe a gold sandal with just straps so there is not a bulk gold look at your feet. (I am team match the dress in shoe color rather than wear a nude shoe )The dress is beautiful.

I am also not a fan of the earrings

@conmama I think the dress looks absolutely stunning on you! I’d try it with smaller earrings. Agree that uncomfortable shoes should be out! Check Nina shoes. They are inexpensive, well made, and festive.

I love the earrings but feel they would be better on a plainer outfit—like a little black dress or something. I would want earrings that don’t fight for attention with the stunning dress. Also, would only want comfortable and unobtrusive shoes. The dress is the stunner and no point in having anything that draws attention away.

I vote for the nude shoes or the “new” option. I also think the earrings take away from the dress. The dress looks great!

That’s true, they would be better with a non-blingy outfit. They do look sort of long anyway. I’m considering cutting off the last petal part.

The earrings are a bit “busy” with the dress. BUT in style decisions an important factor is what the wearer likes (assuming of course that you meet the dress code). If you feel good, you’ll look good.
