I think I’m going to just wait until that evening and take a couple options. DH has great style and I often go to him for “these shoes or these?, these earrings or these?”
Also I’m not sure I’ll do a half up half down. I’m not liking how those 2 pieces seem so narrow with my shoulders bare.
LOL - When I can’t decide on shoes or earrings for an outfit, I ask hubby to pick . He has good taste. And heck, he will be looking at me more than other people will.
So, the “soft gold” heels came in and they were bright gold. Uncomfortable and I don’t think dressy enough. I’ll stick with my knot shoes for now. Will just to stretch a bit.
It’s so hard to find what I want in a wide width.!
Bummer! I have a contraption called Foot Fitter. I think it is $50 or so on Amazon. Bought it a while ago to stretch out a pair of boots that were a tad too narrow. Worked great! There is also the water in ziplock/freezer trick, but I don’t think it would work well with peep toe shoes.
I’ll look at that. I’ve used socks. I’ll heat up the inside of the shoe with a blow dryer then put on a pair of socks and walk around for about 5 minutes.
I bought a dress from Bloomies deeeeeply discounted. The dress arrived, it fits, and is really divine! The problem is that it is missing the self-fabric belt. I don’t want to call and complain because they will tell me to send it back, and it is sold out. So I need a belt. Can you please help me find one? TIA!
Here is a picture of the dress as shown on the product page
I like the chain belt idea. I have tried light scraves in situations like this, and I can never get them to let the fabric drape as it might have with something narrower. One of those ideas that’s great in concrpt but seemingly unexecutable.
I travelled with short casual sleeveless dress (also light blue) with matching fabric belt just like that. I was worried about loosing it (especially after it got temporarily misplaced). Luckily it had buttoned chest plackets, which allowed me to thread the belt to stow for packing.
Are you happy with the length of the dress as it is? Wondering if you shortened it if someone could make a belt from the cut off fabric? Depending, obviously on how much was cut off, the style of belt, etc
I think a chain belt will look great. My only concern is it could potentially pick/snag the fabric. But, I can’t tell what type of fabric it is to know how likely that might be.
