These are cute but seem like they are quite low cut and “mini”??? I’m not sure it would cover much!
I appreciate that two pieces (bikini or tanking) are MUCH easier in the ladies room especially if the suit is wet.
I rememver a helpful youtube video where a Rick Steves travel guide gives her packing tips. She says for Europe, pack a bikini. It more compact, and that’s what the locals wear. She also mentions that in a pinch they can be used as extra underpants and bra.
Earlier I linked a pair of jeans that I ordered. They came yesterday and they are super cute. Kinda loose but not. Hit right below my bellybutton and that’s a comfortable place for me. The length is perfect.
I think I’ll get quite a bit of wear out of them. And they are different but not too much different.
Apparently Athleta will only carry swimsuits online this year. They are normally my go to, but there were none available last I checked.
Oh honey. I wish I’d known this much sooner, but when I had two little girls in summer swim league, I learned from another mom that you just push it to the side.
They are not as skimpy as they appear in the picture. they cover the bootie nicely but also sit below my belly button which is what I want/need.
I wasn’t sure whether to post this in the fashion thread or Super Bowl thread, but I thought y’all would appreciate it more.
This is from a country artist I follow who has an amazing eye for detail and design. She makes a lot of her own outfits and even furniture. Her voice is like a country Amy Winehouse. Anyway, her comment on Kendrick Lamar’s jeans choice.
ETA: I Googled. Kendrick is 5’5"
I earlier linked to a pair of jeans that I bought at Nordstrom.
They are Good American, today I saw that the jeans I purchased are 25% off at their website.
I asked for a price adjustment since it’s been less than 14 days since I received them. I did it through the Nordstrom app. Sent them a link of the price from the GA website.
I guess my calculations were off, they adjusted the price for more than I asked for. I actually put the price before taxes which they adjusted for.
I was very pleased.
My fav white T is from athletica
I’ll add that for a person of KL’s height, wide jeans would make the person look square. Not a good look. Skinny or bootcut are definitely best. His outfit looked great.
This Page Six shows flared jeans from several brand names with prices. I’ve noticed that these jeans look good on those long-legged models. Alas, I am short.
These have been a good compromise for me to get the flare feel without being overpowered by fabric. I am only 5’4”, and I buy the, “short,” length. The short is different from petite. I am waaaayyy too long-waisted for a petite proportion to ever work on me. The short is just a shorter length. Even with the short, I need a low heel. My legs are disproportionately short compared to my torso length.
I think WHBM does an excellent job of providing a wide variety of styles and sizing options.
I decided to keep the swim skirt, along with the bikini bottom and tankini top. Now hopefully I will actually wear it.
Good news- the Quince jeans that were back ordered are being shipped.
Bad news: I ordered the Corrinne maxi dress from Marine Layer on February 3rd and it looks as if it is stuck getting a shipping lable. Grrr… I want it before our trip to Maui on a few weeks (first world problems, I know).
I mentioned earlier that I liked the bootcut Wit and Wisdom jeans I got from Nordstrom. So, I just ordered two more pairs (the raw hem bootcut and the high waist wide leg) thinking I would keep just one. But I think I like them both. If I keep the wide leg pair I’m probably going to have my husband get out his sewing machine and hem them a bit.

If you have a Nordstrom card you probably have an alterations benefit although I believe you pay for the alterations and you’re credited back n notes. I’m impressed your DH sews!
Nordstrom will hem full price items for free, I believe.
I think Nordstrom gives $200 in tailoring service per year to cardholders. I got a pair of jeans on sale, and they charged me $30 to hem them, but I got a credit or Nordstrom notes or something to offset it.
I had a similar problem. I ordered a pair of boots from La Canadienne. Ordered it on February 1 and the last notice I received says that they shoes should be delivered on Feb. 17. The shoes are coming from Montreal.
About 3 years ago, I ordered a pair of barrel jeans from a company that’s usually a bit ahead of trends.
When they arrived, I tried them on, took a picture, and sent it to my sister. The response was a slew of hysterical emojis and two words - Clown Pants!
So it’s a hard no for me! I have everything else in rotation - wide flares, skinny, boyfriend.
