Dressing Young 2025

I’m with you re: sleeves! I have a great sleeveless dress and a sleeveless jumpsuit I absolutely love, and both would be appropriate for this occasion, but they both need a shawl or some sort of a wrap.

That’s a great dress. You could wear it with a brooch, a necklace or scarf. I have a similar style in navy. I’ve worn it to holiday parties and funerals too.

I think it doesn’t need any jewelry because the shoulder embellishment works like jewelry. Another win in my book!

Well better yet - all ready to go.

Thanks. Ordered one of the 1/4 zip sweatshirts plus a pair of joggers. I like my Lululemon joggers but they aren’t new. My daughter and my nieces wear a lot of Vuori and I have several pants I like from them but I’ve always found their tops to be short on me.

Varley makes some great quarter and half zips. They run oversized for the most part and not too cropped. For a different, more luxurious option for athletic wear.

I love Varley but their stuff tends to be a heavier weight. I have a half-zip from them (as well as a couple of sweaters) that I love but I live in the South and find myself only being able to wear it a couple of times a year (unless I know I’m going to be outdoors all day). The sweaters I have are also a heavier weight. Great for colder climates!

I like Rhone (I don’t own a half-zip but several other pieces)

Thanks for the tip about weight. I live in a temperate climate and tend to run hot.

The other two links are cute but they look short.

I love it! So classy and timeless!

Maybe a statement bracelet on the other side since it’s 3/4 length sleeves. That would balance out the top.

Good idea! Thanks! I have blingy shoes as well! Now I need to repurchase all makeup because mine is more than 6 months old (I don’t use it often ).

Just bought this rain jacket that I plan to wear over my warm jacket when it rains in Scandanavia. Piper Rain Jacket - Waterproof & Packable – Lole I bought it in the blue (ash) color) as I have a lot of things that are blue and want to brighten my wardrobe slightly. It’s 50% off and has positive reviews. I had to pay $9 for shipping but that’s OK with the sale discount price.

Lole makes quality stuff! Nice looking jacket.

I had never heard of this brand before, but reviews are quite positive and I like that it covers quite a bit and is roomy, so should fit over my warm jacket.

I have a few of their hiking clothes, and they held up very well! Hope the jacket meets your needs!

That is too fitted for me. I like more forgiving dresses. You must have a great figure.

It’s funny - on the model photo it looked quite fitted. But not so much in the video (screenshot posted below)

Clothes are funny that way—some things look great on hanger or in photo but not great in person & vice versa.

I was in my favorite boutique today, and the owner brought me something and said “Just try it on. It doesn’t look like much on the hanger, but you’ll be surprised.” So true!

Some things are designed to hang off a body, not a hanger!

Right. It appears to be a lovely dress (especially since I’m a big fan of Adriana Papel dresses). My point was folks should not rule it out based on how it looked so fitted on the model.
