Well…today the drop downs when you @ a poster’s name are not happening.
I have to type it all myself instead of being able to just click on the drop down suggestion.
Anyone else?
Someone else will here to flag Sorin…I don’t remember exactly how his screenname appears?
@CCadmin_Sorin
(It’s working for me @thumper1 )
@thumper1, it’s also working fine for me. Is there anyone else experiencing this?
@CCadmin-Sorin
I had to type your flag all myself…drop down didn’t appear…and I tried it several times. In the past there have been times when it didn’t work the first time…but did the second. This time…nothing.
I also tried to do a few other familiar screennames…nope…
Perhaps the problem only occurs with specific browsers (and mobile versus desktop/laptop may be considered different browsers)?
iPad only. I just did an update.
It’s working fine on my phone
@CCadmin_Sorin ?
@thumper1 , worked for me just now on my iPad.
Ack…what can I do? I just did an IOS update on my iPad…it was working fine before that.
Since you brought this up… I can’t seem to figure out how to do this in the first place. How specifically do I tag someone inside the post without having to type out their user name?
@smileyface1 as soon as you type @ and the first letter, a bunch of suggestions will appear in a dropdown box. AS you type more letters, the suggestions will narrow. Then you just click on the username.
@thumper1 , tsk tsk, one should never update one’s ipad. I learned that the hard way. Kidding aside, I hope you figure it out.
Ok…I cleared my cache and that did not help!
It works on my iPad at the moment, but fails at other times randomly. To me it smells like a CC issue, caching/performance/??? Our keystrokes are sent one at a time to CC, but if CC doesn’t respond, we’re stuck.
@Lindagaf Well then! You are right. Thank you.
It is known that some parts of this web site work properly only with some browsers (e.g. the articles only work properly on Chromium-based browsers, while other browsers show blank articles).
So perhaps naming all of the following may help:
- Browser.
- Browser version.
- Operating system
- Operating system version.
- Type of hardware (computer, tablet, phone).
^ Well, at least in my case of Safari on iPad, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
Safari, iPad Air 2…just updated this week.
And this drop down worked before this week.
