Duke University Early Decision for Fall 2025 Admissions

DS Got in!

That speaks really well to what is to come, even if it ends up not being Duke.

Did they share any numbers?

Congratulations!!! Do you mind sharing stats?

Duke has historically shared their ED metrics with the student newspaper (Duke Chronicle) as well as a posting on Duke Today a few hours before the decision release. That didn’t appear to happen today.

Congratulations! Would you mind to share the stats of your kid?

My son was rejected unfortunately. We did decide to submit a 1450 test score as it was top 1% of state and the average at his high school was 1030, so who knows whether or not that was a contributing factor! There are two others from his school who also applied (which is very strange as I’ve never heard of anyone here going to Duke) and I was told both went test optional. Both had scores lower than my son though, wondering if they got in!

It’s a great score. They are ( scores) just considered thus at worst it was neutral. Ridiculously difficult this year, your student is doing great if he’s anywhere in range to apply.

Sorry for your sun, I am sure there are more good schools will accept your sun. also you said" I’ve never heard of anyone here going to) Duke" I guess that may be one of reasons. IDK why , a lot PP estm chance for a school by how many student got in before and the rank of yourself.

My DS got in. So glad to be off this roller coaster!

I think we will see a lot of that this year as many similar schools are back to test required.

My DD got in. It’s surreal! Very thankful, but also thinking of those here who got different news tonight.

What an amazing kid! Don’t think he could have done anything else - it is a numbers game. Wishing him well and he will land somewhere he loves!

For Stats , every applicant has his own highlight, and I really think there are many Stats are more or much more strong than anyone who accepted. There is no formula can predict the result for top 10 university. For My D she work so hard and all time busy since middle school, here is at this point, she got 15 AP all 5, GPA 4/4.8, ACT 36, Valedictorian of 1/580, President of SG, MIT Camp and win 2nd place award. also a President of a club in local town. all years varsity Sport (that spend most of her time). Her paint win few times of state senator award.
