Don’t you mean :
Wee Sing Silly Songs by Wee Sing?
Flashback to the childhood
I was a little scared to click on this thread, earthworms sounded a little gross. I had one stuck in my head at work the other day. I’d try and remember it, but then it would be stuck there again.
That song from the Vistaprint commercial - Hold On Tight. I find myself singing it in the supermarket!
Yes! Flashback to the cassettes and the VHS videotapes. D watched Wee Sing Together, the one with Sally’s birthday party, almost every day for a year. S watched the one with the missing music box key, Grandpa’s Magical Toys, quite often. I guess it was the first of many mysteries he loved.
HarvestMoon1 - I had not seen that commercial. It was very sweet. Thanks for sharing.
Rod Stewarts “Maggie May” played constantly when I was in college. Drives me nuts to hear it as it played over and over
@SomeOldGuy --I love “Anna Sun,” but I am totally won over by “Shut Up and Dance” even if it’s sort of fluff.
Some of the songs mentioned above deserve to be included!
Funny (sort of)! I could listen to Stayin’ Alive and Raspberry Beret all day.
I hadn’t considered tunes aimed at children as I rarely hear them anymore, but their inclusion reminds me of that Arthur episode with the Crazy Bus song.
Oh gosh, I’ve had “The Bunny Song” from the children’s Veggie Tales cartoon going in my head for two weeks! We played it at Easter (after joking about chocolate bunnies) and now I can’t get rid of it.
I did it to myself. I’ve been listening to Sufjan Stevens’ new album “Carrie & Lowell” nonstop for the past week. I decided I needed to move on and listen to something else for a while. But I’ve had the chorus of “All of me wants all of you” going over and over and over and over in my head for the past 12 hours. And it’s my least favorite song on the whole album.
Anyone remember the Shari Lewis and Lambchop “This is the song that never ends”? That is a classic earworm!
My S does musical theater. After seeing some of the shows I cannot get the music out of my mind. He recently starred in Hair and I could not get some of the songs out of my mind, dreams, thoughts. I am actually a bit concerned about writing this as they may come back! Haha
I have to avoid listening to “When Doves Cry” because of the high earworm odds.
I submit, for those with ear worms,

Someone else was singing this on NPR this evening but we resisted. The original is best.
You Can Call Me Al by Paul Simon is a frequent ear worm of mine, esp the saxophone / trumpet part.
For me that’s a welcome one, though.
Oh God, just reminded me of the most persistent earworm of all time for me: Paul Simon’s Christmas song from a couple of years ago: Getting Ready for Christmas Day. Jeez Louise, I had just gotten over that one and now it is going to start over again …
“Getting reeeeeeeady … Oh getting ready … for Christmas Day …”
Dear God, no, just no.
I mean, it’s a really good song and all, but listen at your own risk:

Is there a special category of earworm where you are compelled to watch the Youtube video over and over to get the cadences of the sampled material down pat?
The only solution I can see to the Paul Simon earworm is to listen to @dragonmom’s Van Morrison song over and over, but then I’d have to deal with my sublimated desire to start dating after my divorce and that’s just too depressing …
There’s only one solution to a Van-Morrison-inspired existential-dread earworm:
“it’s a small world after all …”
“Ohhhhhhh, your ears hang low …”
Did I mention how much I like Paul Simon and Van Morrison?
“Ohhhhhhhh, Mairzy Doats, and Doazy Doats …”
Not working.
