Eli Whitney Students Program 2009

Hey Anna.

That’s cool. We can just IM for a while. I think you’ll really like New England. I hope that your boyfriend likes seafood!!!

LOL>…

Lopez. I’m in.
Cory. I appreciate the advice on the statement.

Deusex. Did you hear back? Wait, are you applying to EWSP?

Ah. That makes sense. We now have cliques in the forum :)

I have not heard anything but I did apply to this program. They were waiting on a few things until April 10th though so my sense is that I am nearer the end of the pile than the front. But we will see.

I did not talk about being Bavarian!

Hey, Jared,

What’s the plan B?

Yes Cory. That’s funny! lol. I got the feeling about that a long time ago. I sent you a PM.

Yeah, is there a clique here? lol…

Hi deusex…

I get the feeling that your cliques comment was not very productive to the forum. We came out to each other for the sake of making discussion out of the forum. That’s it. We are not a clique. We are just discussing things about the forum, Brown, New England, the Army, Art… That’s it.

Why am I explaining myself?

Anna,

Skreetch…

Let’s just chill and talk about the Eli Whitney Students Program.

Haha. It was just a joke. I did not mean to undermine the productivity of the forum.

Don’t you wish they did everything by email and electronic status… It would eliminate stress if you could just log on and check your status.

Should we petition! lol…

I do like the fact that it’s still old fashion. I’m old fashion.

Logging on would be good to check status.

I would really enjoy being able to log onto the system and see if I am accepted! That would be great!

Do you think moving the date up to April hurt the applicants or helped them?

I think it actually helped them. Maybe they thought more people would apply?

Why would they not want to use the online system?

How do you mean? I made the decision to apply in early march so it helped me I guess.

Let me rephrase: I would like to see a system that says, “processing, complete, review, accept, deny…” That would be cool. But they have their reasons, so, I am okay with whatever.

It is a really small program. I am happy with how they do things.

It might have had an impact. It might not have. There is not a way to know for sure.

Anyone know of good places to eat around Yale?

Always thinking about food, huh? lol… Jk. I do the same thing. I heard there was a course called Cookie Dunkin (for non-physics majors): Theory and Practice.

LOL…

I have never eaten in New Haven, so I don’t know.

I made up that course, silly.

i’m so happy to see this forum back to happyland! :)

It was memorable one, hellojan!

I really started laughing when I saw it. I swear I’ve seen classes like that in the CUE guide. lol…

Pizza places! You should check out “Bar” - apparently they have decent pizza and cruddy service, micro brews, and tons of Yalies visiting frequently.

There’s also a pizza place called “Pepe’s” that is supposedly really great.
