@flanfun Congratulations! What state are you in? From reading last year’s thread, it looks like different states send out their notifications at different times. The suspense is killing me. Ugh, I wish they’d go ahead and send that rejection letter.
Son got an email saying he is moving on! We are in NJ.
I’m a National Semi-Finalist! (Got the email at 1:31 pm)
Congratulations to those who got to move on to national.
I m a National Semi-Finalist from Connecticut! (Got an email at 1:47 pm)
I got a National semifinalist email saying that I moved on!! I am from California, and got the email at 10:33 am my time! Congrats to everyone else who did too!
According to ISTS all emails will be sent by end of day (no later than 5PM CST. Also, the lack of a national SF form on your home page does not mean we did not advance. They are updating portals throughout the day.
Has anyone received a rejection letter yet? Just wondering if the acceptances are going out first, or if both are being sent out together state by state. Still waiting in Georgia…
@cedenf does your portal at aim.applyists.net have a national SF form under your state form?
Do y’all know if the 4000 dollars are given out in cash or to the college?
I really hope is in cash since the amount is less than 5000
Does any past National semifinalist know about this, please?
No. Did others get the form before an email?
Usually the form appears in the morning with an acceptance later. Hopefully this will be the exception.
I saw the form on my portal before getting the email.
My daughter (Class of 2022) got $1000 a year. She has to fill out a form to get it sent to the college every year. They asks for enrollment verification.
The award goes straight to the college. Each year there is a service requirement that must be fulfilled before receiving the next year’s disbursement. There are some wonderful service trips available to the scholars. My daughter is a Legacy scholar and did one of their service trips last year. The Elks give so much back to our communities.
Is that through the local lodge or the ENF?
Well, considering the fact that everyone’s national semi-finalist e-mails are starting to come in and I haven’t heard anything, I guess it’s safe to assume that I was rejected. Just send that rejection email already!
Do these service trips cost? Or does the ELKS foundation cover it?
