I received a National Semi-Finalist email at 1:32 pm est. I am from NY!
I got the acceptance email at 10:34 PST! I am from Washington State fyi
Got notified that I’m a National Semi-Finalist from Pennsylvania at 1:32 P.M EST!
So far, it looks like everyone, regardless of state, received the Semi-Finalist email at almost the exact same time. Almost 100% certain that I’ve been rejected at this point. Considering that multiple people from several different states reported received their emails at around 12:30 CST, I am thinking that they sent the email to all the winners across the country at that time. I doubt that there will be any more semi-finalist emails sent out. I hope that my theory is incorrect, but I’ve honestly given up hope at this point. Would’ve been nice if they sent the rejection emails at the same time instead of leaving us in the dark. Nothing I can do now but stop worrying about this and try to spend the rest of my day productively (I’ve spent all day constantly checking my email/CC)!
What state? It seems like when I look at past correspondence, we’ve always had later notifications than other states.
The student pays something like $50 and the cost to get to the location and then housing and food is covered.

Just got rejection email.
My son just got his rejection email. Oh well. Wish he could’ve gone further. On the positive side, he did get a $3,000 scholarship about a month ago from our local Elks Lodge here in Alabama, so it was worth him applying. Congratulations to all of you who were selected to move on!

@ilbacio My rejection email just came in at 3:35 PM CST. From what everyone is posting, it looks like all the rejections were sent at the same time. Oh well. Congratulation to all who are advancing to $4000 round, and good job to everyone who was able to make it this far in the competition!

@rphmom8 my daughter also applied for the legacy. When did your daughter find out about that?
@Bamamom1970 i live in california but haven’t been contacted by my local lodge for any kind of scholarship. Did they email your son?
Also, are these local scholarships cash or go straight to the college?
Late April; she did not move on to semi-finalist for MVS but did get legacy
