Ex-Dean Ayers next UVa president?

I heard the rumor about a week ago, but I didn’t think Ayers was likely because if so, he would not have left UVa.
Given that there will be some type of announcement at 4:00, the new president must have already accepted the position and the vote by the BOV is merely a formality.
