So I just did the update for FB on my iPad, and I’m being asked to log in…which I’ve tried with the password I have written down. That didn’t work…so I said I forgot my password, and got to a place to enter a new password…but that didn’t work…either.

Ditto. Glad I am at least not the only one. It logged me out right in the middle of something, but won’t accept the new password I create.

Same. Im sure my brother is confused and bored! (he is nonverbal and non mobile post stroke and uses his social media to survive and keep up with the world.)
Well….I hope the mess gets fixed without changing my password!
I got locked out of my first Facebook account, I think when I signed up I used my landline as a phone number, so when they started using verification codes…. I signed into my husband’s account so I could at least copy my photos.
So are y’all saying to not try to log back in to anything?
I’m not doing anything else now. I figure this will take time to resolve.
I also could not log onto Facebook and kept creating a new password and that did not work (error message). I also could not load Instagram. I then looked up on the internet if this was a widespread problem (hoping it wasn’t just me which was my first assumption) and indeed it is widespread that both are down, along with Messenger. While a hassle, I’m glad it is not specific to my account.
Meanwhile, I expect to get more work done! LOL
I am having issues too! I got in but basically no content.

Did you need to get a new password if yours is working again?
No new password so hope that will still be the case when it comes back on again.

The only thing that finally worked
Send code to email
Don’t use the code for login
Use the direct change password link in the email
Do not change password
Just click skip
I was then able to get in.
I had applied for a new password, but that never went through…so I’m hoping it’s not an issue!
I tried that….it didn’t work!
