Congratulations to everyone who finally heard back! I just checked my email after seeing the thread–I am currently so excited that I can’t even concentrate on my work…haha
Also…@ard1995 they will note your status as a GT and you will be given preference if you were being considered alongside someone else with comparable grades so don’t worry too much!

@Goodluck13 If you had fulfilled all their mandatory criteria, I don’t see why you would be rejected–unless they are missing forms from you? I read that they were notoriously bad at informing people about missing forms and would delay doing so until much later when the applicant called their offices…

@Jtvheroxql they have all my forms, my application was forwarded for review on 3/27. I fulfilled all the requirements but its just nerve recking that I didn’t hear back yet. What time did y’all receive the email (just so I know what time to wait for tomorrow)

Hey guys! Congrats on all your acceptances!! You all must be super excited right now, haha.

I was wondering, did you guys contact the admissions office before each quarter/semester when signing up for classes or was comparing the course syllabuses on your own sufficient? I’m torn between not wanting to pester the adcoms and wanting to make sure that my classes actually match up with theirs.

Thanks in advance, and CONGRATS again everyone. I’m hoping to be in your shoes next year!!

@Coriander23 Yeah, make sure to use the course evaluation form instead of vaguely describing your classes via email. I encourage you to call if you’re having to email them more than twice to answer the same question because I had some difficulty getting clear answers from them over email.

Congrats to everyone!! I didn’t hear back yet and I’m even more nervous now that I know I’ll be hearing back later (possibly much later).

Sorry to ask again, but has anyone paid/gone to pay the deposit yet? As I mentioned earlier, when I went to pay my deposit, it said I was admitted for fall 2014, but the deposit due date is January 10th, 2014. Is this on anyone else’s enrollment form?

@Goodluck13 ah that could be the case then-- my application was forwarded about a week earlier…
also I was notified at 2:30 pm today…
Good luck!
Does anyone know when we will get the financial aid quotes?

I, along with my friend who also has a GT to ILR, received an email around 2pm with the link to check the online decision letter. We did so, both are accepted officially, and they fixed the date to pay the deposit on the enrollment form. Goodluck to everyone I hope to see you all in the fall!

I am 2015 GT AEM (Class of 2018) and I will be attending Union College for my freshman year. Like many LACs, they combine intro to micro and macro economics into a single semester course. The Union course description is as follows:

ECO-101. Introduction to Economics. (Fall, Winter, Spring; Staff). Basic microeconomic model of price determination; impact of market structure on price and output decisions by firms; role of the public sector in an economy; basic macroeconomic model of national income determination; impact of fiscal and monetary policies on employment levels, price stability, and economic growth; international economic relationships.

Before I contact Cornell, does anybody have a perspective on whether or not this one course will satisfy the AEM GT micro-econonmics requirement? Given I see many attending LACs freshman year, I suspect there are folks in similiar situations. Thanks!
