Yeah I called a couple days ago as well and the person I spoke with said May 1st “on the dot”. Hopefully they’ll surprise us tomorrow but it’s most likely going to be another week of waiting 
Aren’t they “required” to say May 1st? I remember when I was first applying to college in HS, I had called a few colleges to ask when decisions would come out, and they all said the date that was stated on their website, but a few of them still released decisions early.

What time does UVA release decision?
I think they tend to post on a Friday so to give it the weekend to sync in. Because May 1 is sometimes on a Wednesday or Thursday etc, those years they tend to post last Friday of April which is considered slightly early so that they can get them out and give it the weekend to settle probably. But since this year May 1 falls on a Friday and it’s their official release date my bet is on May 1. Would be awesome if it posted tomorrow though. Hoping the best for everyone.
Hey guys, quick question everyone is talking about financials yet I have no idea where that tab is and on my application it doesn’t even exist. It’s not supposed to be there if I didn’t apply for financial aid right?
I don’t know. I mean, say we do find out today – typically it’s around 5 pm but some years (like last year) they will release as early as 11 am. Again, this is assuming they release today, which to me seems unlikely.
Latest post on the blog says that it will be on May 1st :neutral: If they had plans to release them today, he won’t be posting this morning saying May 1st.

@2ef23e Mine still says “no info found” on dashboard and “access denied” if I go to Finance center on the left. I did not apply for aid through the applciation or CSS but I did send FAFSA when I sent it to my current college.
I received a follow-up email this morning from someone at SFS telling me I should be receiving my FA award “soon.” Hopefully, we can hear sooner than the 1st. ?
That “Transfering to UVA” blog has indicated a “May 1” release for the last six months (it’s part of the FAQ in the lower right-hand corner). From what I can see, it has not been updated since March 17.
The official line from UVA is "transfer admission decisions will be released around May 1st. I called UVA this morning and was told the same thing – and, to “check my email for admission decisions”…
So, we wait…

The release of decisions is always slated to be “on X date” until it’s not. The people in admissions will adamantly stand behind the date that was originally posted until an earlier release is imminent. If you call or look anywhere, you will find the release date to be X, but that might not necessarily hold true. You will only know of an earlier release mere minutes before the release actually comes. I would be surprised if decisions came today, but it is not out of the question. If decisions come at 5 today, we’ll know at about 4:50. At 4, we’ll still assume it’s May 1st, and admissions will tell us just that.
