A teacher who I felt led me to having the work ethic I have today. Had a very good relationship with this teacher.
I. Am. Nervous.
@Spring2020Mathhh I heard that transferring to the Spring term is much more difficult than in Fall term due to available slots. I would honestly be very shocked if you do not make it in! Wish you the best of luck though.
Can anyone chance me, being an OOS student will make it harder for me to get in so just wanted an overview of where I stand at least.

Did really well in his class (top 5 out of 400 student class) and had a good relationship with him.
Note: the only problem is that I did not take Expos in college because I AP-ed out of it and I believe that taking college expos is a requirement so will they just throw out my application because of that?
I posted my stats above, could anyone chance me? I am getting really nervous about this ahhhhh.
@transferringlion they are more selective for OOS students, but your stats are strong, so I think you are good! Best of luck man!!!
Does anyone know if sophomore transfer students will even be considered for McIntire?
@mkmk29 Do you mean that you are a sophomore right now or that you are applying to be a sophomore at UVA?
Does the amount of students in a certain major affect one’s chances? Like if one engineering major is closer to capacity than another, would applying to the less-studied major increase your chances of getting admitted?
@transferringlion I asked a similar question on the transfer blog, and heres what the dean told me:
“We admit into the specific College not a specific major, so as long as you have all or most of the recommended courses to the college of arts and sciences, you should be ok.”
@TouristHistory I am applying as a sophomore transfer student so I am currently in my freshman year. I know that we technically aren’t allowed to apply to McIntire but I thought I read that some sophomore transfers still get in if they are competitive enough. Can anyone provide any insight into this?
Does anyone know when the decisions will come out this year? Will they be delayed due to Corona? And once we get a decision how long will we have to decide?
Hello everyone! Just wanted to wish good luck to you all! One of my apartmentmates told me that his friend got his transfer result last year on April 26th. I also decided to find this thread and comment because my apartmentmates and I are looking for an additional person. We live on JPA and are all Asian American guys from Northern Virginia (I’m systems engineering, another is BME, one is computer engineering, and the other is BACS). So if you do get in and would need housing feel free to let me know! Also, if anyone has any questions about UVA (classes, culture, etc) feel free to hit me up
Anyone elses portal say they didnt receive their highschool transcript? I sent it awhile ago, and I got an email saying it delivered successfully. So im confused
Interesting you would post that here
Can’t you just apply and see? If not just go another year.
