@nining do you remember when you applied?
@valovers I applied a couple days before march 1
is SIS different from application status portal? I never received an email on how to access sis
@IWantTransfer20 check junk mail
Quick question. I applied for admission last year and was waitlisted. I’m applying as a transfer this year. Under my financials tab it says, “Inquiry Access Denied,” but it has the year 2020 next to it. There’s nothing for the year 2021. For those with the message, is the year that’s displayed 2020 or 2021? And for those in my position, what are you all getting?
@Sol0Flyer last year did you apply for financial aid?
@2ef23e I checked my junk folder and I still do not see an email about how to access SIS.
Did everyone received a separate email on how to access sis rather than the application status portal?
@Bizdock Yes :neutral:. I’m worried that they put together my package last year because I was waitlisted, and that this year they just are just rejecting me or waitlisting me. hmm…
@IWantTransfer20 I got a SIS email last year when I applied for the first time.
I didn’t apply for aid, should I worry about “inquiry access denied?” I imagine not, because why would I be denied access to view a financial aid package I never applied for in the first place.
@transferringlion when I applied to UVA I got that statement as well. It just says that for now but there’s like other ways to “see” your financial aid but don’t worry about it! Also I can’t message you (or anyone for some reason), but maybe if you want you can shoot me a message! I think it would be cool to chat since I’m systems engineering too haha
@techcomphope I didn’t apply for finaid, but ppl suggest its a “tell” if you’re in. I’m assuming it doesn’t apply for people who didn’t apply for aid, because why would they prepare a package for someone who is paying in full?
@transferringlion thats what people thought during my year too haha. i don’t think it really is an indicator (didn’t seem to be for my year). there’s just always a financial aid section in SIS even if you didn’t apply for aid.
they are just*
@Sol0Flyer wdym lol. “there is just always” that section
Does anyone know how summer classes will work at UVA? Can you take them at home without moving into Charlottesville now???
@TouristHistory UVA told us that classes for Summer Sessions 1 and 2 will be moved online and by June 1st they’ll make decisions about in-person summer classes that occur after July 1st!
I had to late drop a class the first semester of my freshman year due to personal circumstances. I explained these circumstances in my essay and talked about how they caused my grades to drop, though I never explicitly mention dropping a particular class. Do you think they’ll connect the dots, or am I screwed lol?
Has anyone received “inquiry access denied” and didn’t apply for financial aid?
I didn’t apply for aid, mine is the same as yours just says no info found. I looked around (quite thoroughly) at last year’s forum and it seemed a vast majority who did apply for aid, and were later admitted, had the inquiry access denied and those who applied for aid and got rejected had no info found. But when I read through it appeared the ones who did not apply for aid but ended up admitted had no info found the entire time. My thought is it’s a possible indicator you got admitted for those who applied for aid.
Hello everyone! Do you guys think they’ll be releasing admission results on April 24th or May 1st? As a lot of you probably know, they traditionally release results on the last Friday of April, but May 1st happens to be a Friday this year…
