Fall 2024 Transfer

My daughter is applying to transfer in for this fall. She submitted her application and transcripts. How long does it typically take to show transcripts as processed?

Good morning! We had a change in housing plans for Fall 2024, and as a result we have a 4BR/2 Bath spot available at Callaway House for the entire academic year. Callaway House states that they usually fill up by April, so please let me know if interested. They (Callaway) handle the transfer internally, so it’s all on the up and up. I got the green check by transcript in AIS nine days after having it submitted.

Thank you

We still see the hazard sign for one of her transcripts (current junior college) that shows as received in the other tab - Documents Received. It was received by A&M on 1/2/24. All other items have the green check mark.

Wouldn’t hurt to call admissions and verify but also ask what the timeline could be on being reviewed.

Next step will be a degree audit by Tamu on all that will transfer over.

I just called Admissions. There was a note on her file for the transcript. They said they are in the process of hand entering it and the hazard sign should be removed today or Monday. JUCO courses align in different ways to A&M course equivalencies. We knew this… I said I hope this doesn’t cause any sort of delay. They said it would not. And also said “Give us 3-4 weeks to remove hazard signs”.

Huge fiasco! They turned her Hazard sign saying transcript was received into a Red X over the weekend. Hazard sign and been there for three weeks. So I had another transcript sent from junior college (paid for it again), mainly for documentation reasons and an electronic trail. Called TAMU Admissions this morning told them all of this. I also typed everything up and put it on the Contact Us/Questions Tab is AIS. They would not admit to anything. They just said her application is now cleared and In Review. I asked three times why this happened. I got “I don’t know” three times. I said it still shows as Incomplete on my end with the Red X. They said it’ll take 24 hours to update to the Green Check mark.
Something happened in the Transcript office area because I was put on Hold for five minutes while the person I got on the phone spoke with them. I sincerely hope this is an isolated incident and no one else has to go through this.

It took a third long phone call with Admissions to get this resolved. “Magically”, the check mark appeared this morning two minutes after the 30 minute call was ended. I had gotten the names of management on up the chain and was about to escalate this situation further.

So things can be updated instantaneously in AIS. Do not believe this “it takes 24-48 hours in the system/has to cycle overnight/we run an update at the end of the week” business. They can do what they want to do when they want to do it.

So I submitted my app on jan 8 and transcript was received Jan 11. I had the same issue with the transcript where it didn’t process but was received so I called admission and all they said was I had to wait. So I did and I got the green check mark for it on Feb. 2nd. How long should it take to here back about a decision now, I have a 3.77 gpa and applied for Econ.

You’ll get your degree audit in howdy first. That’s next step. Then a decision will follow. How quickly is unpredictable. If you have all prereqs done (as in none in process this semester), you could hear back over the next month with full admit. If not, you could get deferred for spring grades. Totally normal and usually acceptance follows that once grades are turned in.

My daughter still has the hazard signs by her transcript even though AIS shows received. It’s going on 14 days since they showed received in her portal so I am going to have her call AO today and get an update. Her 4 yr. university transcript has a green check mark but her Blinn is the transcript showing the hazard sign.

Yes, definitely call! I know of people who have already received their Transfer Audits yet they sent in all of the necessary documents a 2-3 weeks after we did. The inconsistency has my nerves rattled. And of course it’s not a “race” and a few days here and there do not matter in the grand scheme of things, but why risk letting anything slip through the cracks. You have the right to ask the question.

That is what is concerning…because we have a couple of friends who are the same with already having their transfer audits complete. I just fear that she will get the red X and then we are racing against the clock to have transcripts resubmitted and they use that as a flat. out rejection because it falls past the March 1 deadline. She is calling this morning to find out what is going on. She said her other transcript took about 12 days to get the green checkmark and was giving the other that allotted time but still showing hazard sign as of this morning.

My daughter is getting nervous also. The transcripts were received on Jan 16 and still show the hazard sign. She has a 4.0 at her Junior College. She has called and they told her they are in review. It’s so frustrating how some people say their’s was reviewed quickly and got green check marks in less than 2 weeks.

Transfer with same TCCNS system will be easier to import and electronics transcript can be audited by computer. From other 4 year universities or foreign country will require manual review is hard to push through (and likely not start until majority of Freshmen cycle pushed through). If you call Admission they will still try to push the process through reluctantly for you but won’t expedite the decision.

Transfer decisions come after deadline. Admission will summarize students will best academic records and admission mostly determined base on that. A few majors have department input or portfolios will take longer.

Crazy because her 4 year university transcript has already been reviewed (or has the green check mark) it’s the Blinn transcript that is showing a hazard sign. I would think that TAMU and Blinn would be compatible for computer audit. Is that not the case?

My daughter called this morning and was told the same thing…her transcripts are showing in the que and just waiting for review. They confirmed and assured her that all is complete on our end and it’s waiting for review on their end.

Don’t worry too much about it. Transfer is not first come first serve, they will collect all applicants after the deadline to pick the best.

Thanks and sending prayers to all the applicants because the waiting is brutal - lol.
