Fall 2024 Transfer

The way I was reading that is that only the English course is required and the math is recommended but not required. Am I wrong about that? Thanks so much for your feedback!

Correct for application. Note that with minimum 24 graded hours, he will be a much stronger candidate to get grades of the 13 recommended hours as stated in the first line on the second page of the transfer course sheet. The consideration is largely on GPA and the completion of required and recommended courses.

If your student is declined, and is willing to take Math 1325 Summer II online class, he can re-apply for Spring 2025.

Great he did that

not sure how to do this…

Fortunately, his efforts to demonstrate that his Calc class was essentially the same as MATH 142 seem to have been successful. He got his 7 tabs Wednesday and official acceptance yesterday. ECON, 3.5, 29 hours coming from Finance major. He registered for NSC and is looking for housing. Does anyone have advice around the process for requesting transfer classes be recognized as degree requirements? I believe I read here that’s a different process than equivalent for transfer audits.

Whoop. Congrats.

As for course equivalency, only the department can do that. He’ll meet with advisor and they have the power to swap things around.

For instance my daughters ag Econ from OSU was swapped for acct 209. Boy was she happy. Lol

It looks like they processed his information as he got his audit completed yesterday. How long after the audit do students usually receive a decision?

By July 1st.

My son woke up to 7 tabs this morning. Does this normally mean you have been accepted and how long after do you receive formal decision?

That’s exactly what that means. Could be today or tomorrow for formal ā€œwhoopā€ status. What does his first choice major show? As in, did it change?

Awesome! WHOOP!!

Thank you! My son received confirmation earlier this morning and will follow in his sisters footsteps who graduated from TAMU (Public Health Major) earlier in the summer. Good luck to everyone still waiting and hopefully you have more patience than me!

My son’s audit was updated in May, we are still waiting! It makes it really difficult to plan for for the fall. Which college did your son apply to?

We are the same…. Communication major

Thank you for the input! I got an A in the course! My transfer audit was received June 2, but I haven’t heard back yet. If I were to contact them, what would be a good thing to say? I don’t want to bother them if its only a matter of waiting until July 1, but I also don’t want to wait to say something if there could potentially be a problem.

Never hurts to call. Just be polite of course. You can ask if they have everything they need. Could they look at your fuel etc.

Hi! I am a hopeful spring 2024 Tamu transfer student and I was just hoping to get so feedback/advise! I am hoping to transfer into the school of Education and Human Development with a major in Kinesiology (motor behavior track) I applied in February and got deferred for spring grades, I’ve completed 34 credit hours and have a GPA of 3.79, I was hoping anyone could enlighten me on my odds?

Assuming your prerecs are done. You should get accepted. Well done.
