Fall of 2016 Applicants

So the senioritis is really kicking In these days and I will probably end up with like a 3.6 this semester as opposed to my normal ~3.8. Do you think UT will revoke my admission (I was already admitted into Cockrell)?

@jarededberg You and almost every other senior in the country will have a drop in GPA your second semester of senior year! I wouldn’t worry about it.

@CollegeMama987 Thanks!

Are only acceptances being released before March 1 or has anyone got denied?

Haven’t seen any denials yet.

In state students won’t get denied- they will get admitted to their major, allowed to choose from an open major, offered CAP or PACE.

Out of state students can be rejected.

No one from Texas gets straight denials?

“Applicants who are Texas residents are either admitted, “cascaded” to their second choice of major, offered Pathway to Admission through Co-Enrollment (PACE) or to the Coordinated Admission Program (CAP) at a UT System component school. Thus, Texas residents submitting a completed entering freshman application by published deadlines are never permanently denied admission to UT Austin. All non-residents compete with one another in accordance with the routine described above and are either admitted or denied.”

“The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) is the flagship higher educational institution of the State of Texas, but it also has a heritage of being accessible to all, or nearly all, of its in-state applicants. The Coordinated Admission Program (CAP) is the University’s ongoing effort to avoid permanently “closing the door” on any Texas resident.”

Have any electric & computer engineers heard their decisions yet?

Does anyone know how long it takes them to process financial aid?

@writenow Yes for Moody! My daughter accepted OOS in November. Not sure of about any after that.

Has anyone from Social Work heard back (not an automatic admissions) from Texas

My daughter got accepted in ECE last Thursday 01/21

Is your daughter in-state or Out of State?

has anyone who applied between nov 20th and nov 30th heard back yet?

Finaid packages are processed after FAFSA deadline has passed. So for freshmen it is usually after Spring break.

Sophomores etc get their packages in May, after finals, I believe, because they usually have to meet certain requirements for GPA and number of credit hours.
