Flip #7 Mid Century Modern Mold

Any updates or new pictures, @coralbrook ?

Hope everything is going well!

As cb explained last month:

Still at least one event to go. So we’ll all have to be patient for a little while longer.

I hated all of that cheesy orange stuff the first time round.

60s/70s junk reinterpreted as “Mid Century Modern.”

I hope that door in the Eichler kitchen leads to a BIG pantry, because that kitchen has storage space that would be meager for a 1 or 2 BR condo, much less a 4 BR/2 BA house.

Coralbrook asked me to share with you why she’s been off thread. Sadly her dear husband passed away in May after a long and difficult illness. Not unexpected but still hard. In the last couple of weeks she has hosted two major memorial events at her house. Tons of friends and family have been visiting and many staying with her. Now she’s turning to happier thoughts and hosting a wedding at her home this coming weekend. And I believe a family member will have an unrelated event there the following week. I honestly don’t know how Coralbrook does it but she’s in good spirits albeit understandably frazzled. I haven’t asked but presume her crew have continued at the flip as able.

I’m very sorry to hear this. Sincere condolences on this great loss coralbrook.

Very sorry, @coralbrook …wishing you peace…

Delurking to extend my condolences to @coralbrook and her daughter. Sending prayers.

@coralbrook I also am sorry for your loss. Sending warm thoughts to you and your daughter.

Thank you everyone. I’m almost back up for air. 150 person wedding in my yard this weekend that was scheduled long ago and tons of guests in from Hawaii. The young lady getting married is from Hawaii and her Mother is a kumu hula and it’s a whirlwind of traditions, flowers and lei making.

My wonderful lead carpenter has stepped up to the plate in my absence and we are moving fast. But I drew the line when he asked if I wanted him to go pick out the tile for the bathrooms. Nope, not going to happen!! it would have been some horrid avocado green stuff on sale somewhere. Pretty sure he doesn’t even know how to spell Mid Century Modern

@coralbrook I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

I hope that the wedding is a wonderful success and filled with laughter, love and joy.

CB, I’m so sorry for your loss. I know your friends, family and – yes – even your crew will all support you. We are here for you too.

@coralbrook
