How cool would this be as a bath vanity??? It has the perfect configuration with two sinks on the sides, BUT is only 57" wide and I need a 72" wide vanity. Dang it… price is right
Return $1250 worth of cabinets, and then buy them again with your store credit.
Link appears to be missing…
CB, for what it is worth, all vanities in our House1 we’re modular/custom built out of the same cabinetry that we had in the kitchen. They did not look odd at all.
Wayfair’s got some but they are quite a bit more than the HD one:
CB, I like your HD wall-hung vanity.
The one you linked in post #403 looks great! Nice that it will be “free.”
@HImom how is the Home Depot vanity going to be free…when @coralbrook got a credit at IKEA?
@coralbrook no suitable things at ikea?
Whoops, sorry, missed the different stores. Sorry!
I’m dead set on a floating vanity in the master bathroom because it will visually maximize the floor space. IKEA doesn’t have any floating cabinets I can configure into the 72 inch space and their bath vanities are not nice.
So, I need to buy one for master bath. Then I will use my store credit at IKEA to configure some kitchen cabinets for the hall bath. Hall bath is large so I don’t need to have a floating vanity
@notrichenough brilliant suggestion!!! My agent mentioned that also. If I cannot find a way to use the store credit for hall bath vanity and some lighting, I might be making some returns:)
Grid Glass Replacement
I don’t know if I mentioned this already, I might be repeating myself. Last week my roofing guy, that is so wonderful (finished all the roofing and details up there over the weekend in record heat), heard my story about replacing the grid windows.
He found a putty knife and showed us how to simply pop out the vinyl frame pieces holding the glass. It was simple…5 minutes. He said he will come help install the glass. He has been installing windows for a million years
So we popped all of them except big sliders and I called around with a list of measurements, then followed up with emails. Only one company has even gotten back to me. The glass units only, no labor, are $3200 before tax. That means those 3 other companies that gave me quotes were charging $3,500 for labor. They probably just doubled the glass cost and threw out a number.
So, I’m ordering the glass units and the guys think it will only take a day to replace everything so total cost will probably be about $3,750!!
That’s great news! The house will look so much better without the window grids.
Awesome! I’m so glad you found a solution!
Wow, awesome news!!!
We are keeping them in back bedrooms, probably staged with curtains
If the 15% off offer works like some other stores, any returns might reduce the amount on your gift card by 15% of the return. So if you return $1000 of cabinets, gift card would go down by $150. Better check first.
@Marilyn beat me to the punch. Agree…returns that got you the credit will definitely reduce the credit to which you are entitled.
Is there anything else you can get at IKEA?
If the sale is still going on, then she’ll get another store credit for 15% of the $1000 or whatever. I’d rather be sitting on a $150 unused credit than a $1200 one.
