Apparently, pet rooms are a big thing in new chichi houses. We poked through one such local development. Yup. They had Tesla charges in the garages and pet rooms. If it weren’t for the $3M price, we would have loved to live in that 'hood.

Also, some noren have patterns that work as well hortizontally as they do vertically. They can be stretched taut and pinned up with tacks or quickly sewn onto a simple curtain/tapestry rod.

Yesterday the termite guy came for a termite inspection. I sure hope we passed with flying colors because there isn’t $3,000 in the budget to tent the house!
Madly installing all the baseboards. First, we spray every one with one coat of semi gloss paint. Then they get installed. Then, two guys follow along and meticulously putty up each nail hole, caulk the top and caulk all the mitered corners. Then another thick coat of paint gets installed in place, specifically covering up the caulked top because raw caulk exposed attracts black dirt through it’s lifetime. This process takes days!
Installed some mirrors, towel bars, toilet paper holders in the bathrooms.
I am trying my hardest to clean 2,000 square feet of flooring. First I have to vacuum everything to get up the major debris. Then two full passes with a damp mop to pick up all the layers of dust from the construction and doors/windows open. Then a full good pass with hardwood floor cleaner to get the film off the floors. Then everyone starts tramping through again. Repeat. I used to try to do this every day and finally, after 3 projects, just gave up. Now I just try my hardest to get it done right before the furniture shows up.
Today we are picking up a couch and stuff from one person’s house. Then tomorrow we make probably 3 trips from my house. So, we are stockpiling stuff in the back living room. I have no idea how the furniture is going to be laid out because it’s like Turn furniture to view? Or turn furniture to fireplace? I’m just staying out of it and hoping agent and assistant will work on the layout. I have a million details to work on right now.
Madly trying to clean all the windows and we have a lot of landscaping and trash cleanup to do. There is no hope of getting the garage cleaned up for photos. It is just not going to happen!! Which is a shame because the huge garage is a selling point, but photos of the garage are not sexy anyway.

Haha, didn’t really mean to doaway with the grass, it just happened because of the piles of debris everywhere. Plus, could not bring myself to haul off tons of perfectly good gravel.
Bone tired tonight. It was like Xmas today. FedEx, UPS and Amazon stopped at the house many times delivering things. Got that $500 dining table set assembled and it is beautiful. The legs and chairs are solid wood. I’m very impressed with the quality. Took all evening to try to decide where to put dining table, where to face couches, etc. eventually, the dining table is next to fireplace and couches are in other area facing the view. We have a smaller kitchen table in the kitchen area
Changed the mirrors in the bathrooms because I didn’t like the first ones
