Daughter accepted (4.67 W/ 1500 SAT) with OOS tuition waiver. Also accepted to honors college.
Is it possible he didnāt apply to honors? Seems those stats should get honors.
i was accpeted!! oos (31 act and 4.1 W) genuinely did not think I was getting in after before opening it because my stats were nowhere as high as the people commenting here. denied from honors tho but idgaf
what is oos waiver???
Son was accepted 4.2 W and 1400 SAT. Business. No waiver
For qualifying out of state students, the additional tuition for being out of state is waived.
im guessing i did not get this. where did you find notification of oos waiver?
There was a second separate letter from the acceptance that my son forwarded to me. I donāt have access to his email or portal, so not sure how they came through on his endā¦
Does UF also do OOS tuituion waivers?
I did a quick calculation of his GPA from the core classes (from FSU registrar site), adding .5 for honors and 1.0 for AP. I get 4.035. Weāll have to see if we can find what classes they used.
Yes
But I think for UF - getting the waiver is incredibly difficult (like you need to be a NMF or something like that). Also, getting into Honorās college is difficult to predict at UF - b/c it is not based mainly on stats like at FSU and UCF and others. Most people have said that UF in general gives very little merit.
@nj04 what is the most popular site? My daughter would be interested in Florence or Valencia. Do most people who want to do program get accepted as long as they apply before April?
Please DM me and we can take this off this thread. Would be glad to provide our perspective.
Ok just did so!
One other piece of information on the waiver, a student cannot have any Cs on transcript.
So for the OOS waiver, 1420 SAT or 32 ACT, 4.0 weighted and no Cs on transcript. The SAT cutoff could actually be 1430.
Congrats to all.
Sorry, I didnāt realize I initially replied to your post, not the main board.
Oh, I forgot to state, accepted. 4.45 weighted, 32, ACT, two varsity sports, worked for three years and many clubs. OOS tuition waiver.
