Fordham Class of 2024

FWIW - Received the Official financial aid and confirmation of Major mailing today. Really nice presentation.

It should be for 79K

@bluecap LOL
I agree! It’s off our list now. DD has been accepted to schools so far that have lower tuition and have given us so much more merit. Wasn’t a difficult elimination.

Just got my email today after some nervous nights as there was no way I could pay full tuition. Got 25k a year off.

1440 sat
3.656 unweighted

^^Merit aid, not FA

My D got her merit today as well. 12k in merit and we won’t get any FA so it’s coming off the list. At least it was nice to be accepted as her stats weren’t as high as many I see here.

As you make your decisions, keep in mind that the merit aid is a FIXED amount each year. It does not rise each year with increased costs of tuition and housing. So $20-25k merit aid today on $80,000 is not as going to change when costs are $90+ in a few years.

status: admitted
major: business @ lincoln
sat: 1440
gpa: uw 3.7, w 4.3
merit: $26k/yr
no honors

Good reminder, this puts my award into better perspective

UPDATE: I RECEIVED A $29,000 SCHOLARSHIP FROM FORDHAM UNIVERSITY! I received the scholarship decision from an email sent by them earlier today.

ACCEPTED TO FORDHAM ROSE HILL W/ A MAJOR IN BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES!!

4.02 W GPA
1470 SAT
Rank: Top 25th percentile
11 APs, 1 Community College Course
Charter School In San Jose, CA
250+ hours of volunteer service a year
Lots of EC - President of 2 clubs, VP of one club, raised $15000 for blood cancer patients, Varsity XC, Varsity Volleyball teams
Earned different awards - Honor Roll, Science Department Award 2019

Our daughter is a NMSF and received the Fordham Natl Merit scholarship that covers tuition. Does that mean she is out of contention for the Presidential Scholarship that covers room/board? Have the Presidential Scholarship recipients been notified yet?

If my child was given it says for grants and scholarships $19,000 for the 2020-21 academic year
does that mean it’s a one time amount or 19k for each of the 4 years? Thank you

@01001000100001 Congrats on your scholarship. Is Fordham your preferred choice with this award?

@matt2024 Thank you! Even though I received a $29,000 scholarship, yearly expenses are still approx. $46,000 for me, which is expensive. However, this is the best offer that I have received so far, so I’m just waiting for other college decisions at this point. Fordham is definitely up there now!

Hey everyone! I really wanted to meet some Fordham students! I was accepted in December (EA) for film production, full ride! (260k+)! Congrats to everyone else!

Are you saying you got the Presidential Scholarship? Or was this a combination of merit and financial aid? Or just financial aid?

Did everybody receive financial package? My Daughter was excepted in December and never received anything yet.

Website says aid packages will be sent out until Feb 3rd. My D got hers late last week.

I am also waiting to hear about merit aid. Looks like people have gotten aid information on the last two Thursdays
so I am hoping tomorrow. It is hard to wait right now.

Stats: 12 AP courses including Physics C, Mechanics and E&M, Calculus, Stats, French
4.1 weighted GPA and 34 ACT. I need merit aid to attend and think the Fordham Lincoln Center is my best fit.
