Game of Thrones- who will live, who will die, who will rule?

In order for anyone to get rid of Dany, Drogon must first be killed. Wonder how that will happen (if it happens).

i just have no clue how it will all end. Some random thoughts:

I do wish the producers could have taken more episodes to get to where they are now; I feel its been rushed. I agree with someone above; how Dany is kind in some ways; but very narcissistic and selfish. I wish she could talk to Jon and they could plan. they’d be good together if she could give up some of her power-control. But, it’s her way or the highway; and i’ve lost respect for that.

I felt that the show WAS BACK after this last episode; she’s completely insane, real life doesn’t have happy endings all that often, and I’ll miss this when its all over. I think Jamie loved Brienne in his own way; but loved Ceresi more.

I keep clinging to the thought that the producers don’t want people to completely hate the ending as that’s not profitable down the line and with other series; so hopefully it won’t have a horrible ending!

Well Kit Harington called the ending “bittersweet” so I do think there will be some contentment or satisfaction or peace at the end.

Hmm. I feel like it WILL have a rough ending. Wasn’t it Ramsey Bolton who said something like “if you think this has a happy ending, you haven’t been paying attention”?!

And although I was sad to see Jaime go, it was completely in character. He just couldn’t get Cersei out of his system. He said it more than once — “ we love who we love.”

And I was never Team Dany - I found her impulsive and cruel, someone whose baser instincts were kept in check by her advisors.

But I don’t think she necessarily went crazy. I think at the end of the episode, she wasn’t really crazy - she was just free, free to be herself. I think that maybe this is who she really is.

I need to spend more time thinking about some logistical stuff for this weekend and also summer plans rather than GoT endings, but I keep running scenarios through my head (at 3am, LOL!). Escapism at its finest, I guess.

So we have what, 5 main characters left to figure out? Dany, Jon, Arya, Sansa, and Tyrion? And then there are a bunch of others still alive like Gendry, Davos, Grey Worm, Drogon, Bran, Robyn Arryn (not seen at all this season… is he a factor at all any more?), Podrick, Brienne, etc… a bunch more like Daario that I suppose could pop back up but unlikely at this point. Sansa is up north and the other 4 main characters are in the KL area right now.

One thought I had was that maybe Dany does sit on the iron throne. But of course, she has pretty much destroyed KL and the Red Keep and everyone hates her. So she sits on the throne and calls herself queen but in the meantime, Sansa abdicates and becomes Queen of the North and in the span of a few days all of the other 7 kingdoms align with her and Dany is left with a powerless iron throne in a city of rubble. (And then because she won’t put up with being ignored, there’s another battle and Dany finally dies somehow).

Another thought - this one is kind of disturbing and I’m not sure Jon even is aware of the extent of Arya’s training in Braavos for this to work - and honestly this was one of those 3am weird thoughts - but what if Jon sacrificed his life so that Arya could use his face to get close enough to Dany to assassinate her.

I keep seeing people thinking that Dany is going to kill Tyrion before the next episode ends. I don’t know… I think Tyrion is one character who will make it.

In a way, Dany’s character arc and the consequent fan reaction reminds me of Walter White in “Breaking Bad” — such a good man at the beginning but pretty loathsome by the finale. I loved the complexity of his character but I hated him too.

I could see Arya killing Dany in defense of Jon. It’s obvious that after Dany’s human barbecue there’s no way Jon can continue to pledge his fealty to her, making him a threat to her.

For s moment I actually thought Worm was going to kill Jon during the battle. I too believe Tyrion will survive.
I’m really anxious to see the first interactions between Dany and Tyrion and Jon, if they even have one. I mean, what do you say to someone who just murdered thousands upon thousands of defenseless people?

rereading what I wrote above… ‘abdicate’ was the wrong word. Sansa and the north break away from the Westeros federation. Then the other regions join with the north as well.

Food for thought…Sansa quote from earlier season-"When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies but the pack survives. Dany is going down.

I agree Dany is toast. The big question to me is, again, how to get rid of Drogon? If Dany is killed then Drogon may go nuts and firestorm everyone all the time everywhere for the rest of his life. He has to go first. So how does that happen? Poison?

Hey, what color are Drogon’s eyes?

As long as Drogan doesn’t see Dany being killed, Jon can probably control Drogon.

Drogon’s eyes are red, I’m pretty sure.

I wonder what Drogon would do if Daenerys ordered him to kill Jon Snow. The dragons always have seemed to recognize Jon as a Targaryen- in addition to Jon’s riding one, remember when Dany landed in front of Jon and he took off his glove and the dragon let Jon pet him? It would be interesting if Daenerys ordered Drogon to burn Jon and he refused!

Maybe Drogon can live out his life somewhere with lots of prey but few or no people, like if there is enough prey near old deserted Valyria or near the wintry waterfall where Dany and Jon once took the dragons?

My teens and I were just talking about this, @TheGreyKing. We came to the consensus that Drogon would probably refuse to hurt Jon unless he saw Jon attack Dany. Drogon would likely defend Dany from Jon if push came to shove, but he wouldn’t kill Jon. That’s our guess…and it would make really interesting television for that kind of situation to play out, so I’m hoping something like that happens.

That Sansa quote about the lone wolf was from her father in book 1. He was trying to get his girls to respect their family connection and stop fighting.

There’s a certain “change” petition to have the actress who chanted “shame, shame, shame”, walk behind D & D with her little bell, lol. Whatever you think of Dany’s sudden descent, they’ve insulted our intelligence more than enough.

Do we know what happened in the past when dragon riders died? The Targaryens had dragons for centuries. Did their dragons go berserk if somebody killed their rider? Or maybe die themselves (as in Anne MacCaffrey’s dragon stories)?

Maybe Drogon will switch to Team Jon  and Jon will rule.

Drogon seems very much loyal to Dany…not sure he would listen to anyone but her. Would like to find out though.
