<p>Ive been accepted to ohio weswlyan harvard yale denison kenyon and wright state however after visiting ive decided i prefer state school to private so thats where i will be attending i have taken so many ap and pseo classes at my school that i will start college wit 65 credit hours thats a sophmore at christmas break so dont give me that bull you sat here and said we didnt keep our dignity and all that crap abe i kept mine my mom sucessfully raised me by herswlf wit no help from ANYBODY not my father who she divorced and not the government sometimes she worked 3 jobs to keep me in a decent school district and givee opportunities i didnt apply for gates for me i did it for her and maybe if you were compassionate and had something thAt made u stand out you wouldnt be talking ish you dont know my story so get your $h!+ strait</p>
<p>Not to mention in tha last year ive done 239 hours of community service at free clinics and tutoring all while working 25 jours a week and running 3 clubs at school take that for leadership abe</p>

<p>haha, I am not going to spit and argue over collegeconfidential. Point being said, it was a blanket statement, not directed at any one person, and you felt attacked and decided to backlash. I think it makes you seem pretty guilty if you felt the need to flash all of your accomplishements, and thought it was directed at you. So defensive, tisk tisk. I am still not saying you lied though, I mean, anyone would choose a state school over harvard and yale, right, specially if you don’t have to worry about a dime? Oh and if you think a have a $#1tty resume, look up my stats, I don’t feel the need to flaunt them over a discussion board about a scholarship.</p>
<p>Hey since gates is not going to pay for the computer, can we pay for it with other scholarship money or does that go to pay the self need portion?</p>
<p>Yesterday I was emailed a username and password for logging in to the scholar-section on the gms website. I was also emailed my gms id. I haven’t received a letter, and it never explicitly says anywhere that I got the scholarship. HOwever, it does suggest that I am a scholar with things written like “use this to contact fellow scholars” and whatnot.
I just saw what brooks__ wrote and I just want to confirm with you guys before any celebrations.

<p>Gates covers your work study. In D’s case, her school gives her a check each semester (from Gates) to deposit in her account.</p>
