My daughter received an email around 4:30 pm EDT saying “Welcome to Georgia Tech” and had information about setting up her email account. She was originally deferred from EA and accepted tonight when decisions were released.

S25 did… it said something (he wouldn’t say details but like hey we’re setting up your email account).
Accepted OOS… but (small but) part of summer program. We checked that box as a hey, maybe if that’s the tiebreaker so be it!!!

Same deal no response yet for any decision
Check with the admissions office on Monday. Does your portal show application is complete with all required documents and letters of recommendation? There is not a delayed notification so all students with complete applications should have been notified of a decision last night in their portal.

Thats summer and fall terms. Not all in one semester.
Right but the 3200 was also summer and fall. They have gone up every year but didn’t realize it hit 4000

Tech is in the midst of a strategic plan which includes the goal to double degrees awarded in 2019 by 2030.

Yes, I definitely knew they were in a growth phase. Much of that is happening through transfer additions. But I guess they’re building a new high-rise freshman dorm that will hold 800+ students, and have moved more than a few first year students in LLC’s to formally only upper class apartments (decreasing upper class on campus housing options seems to be also the path forward that they are taking). Plus, added first year semester abroad in two locations which did not exist in 2019. I just wonder about the pressure on classes and facilities. As I understand it, one of the reasons they have made so many changes to the CS program prohibiting transfer and transfer pathways is because they simply do not have a large enough lecture hall for introductory classes. Wonder if that will change?
I hadn’t heard the double the awarded degree statistic before. That is quite something!

D25 also didn’t receive any update to her portal. OOS (Californai for Biomedical engineering major)
In my acceptance letter for GaTech CS (OOS), it said I could attend the summer term with 700 other students. Is that for every admitted student.
My DS did not receive an email either. Accepted OOS Chemical Engineering

I believe that is given as an option to every admitted student.
My son got waitlisted as well. Does anyone know how long it takes to get off the waitlist in Georgia Tech? We accept the offer to be on the waitlist. When will they finally close the waitlist, and do they send an email that the waitlist is officially closed
