Georgia Tech wait-list 2028

so would it be safe to say their npc is not accurate then? because according to their npc, i should be receiving some aid.

I doubt the accuracy of their NPC, where the highest income is $99k+. Note also the NPC is set to 2021-22 COA. Next year’s COA is about $50K in direct costs. Undergraduate Costs | Financial Aid

Regardless, I would call the FA office tmr and ask about the timing of your FA package. You can also ask for an extension of the enrollment deadline until you have your FA package, although they may decline that request. Good luck.

For many colleges, waitlist admissions don’t get aid. Money has already been distributed to regular admits.

And yes, don’t trust your NPC. The admissions office has said the reason they pushed out the out-of-state commitment deadline was that financial aid typically was not a factor - read as out-of-state students don’t get it. I have found this to be true just from talking with out-of-state Georgia Tech parents. The old head of the admissions office is now in a new role related to financial aid to ensure financial aid is distributed to the most needy.

Certainly call financial aid and ask.

Has anyone gotten off or seen anything since the Monday deposit deadline?

There is one that I could see from other groups:

Yes. They have let in roughly 100 people off the waitlist according to the email sent around confirming waitlist interest. Majority appear to be computer science majors out of state. That appears to be the first and only waitlist pull.

The email sent to remaining students suggests they may be making more pulls if space opens up.
