I haven’t seen the movie. Guess AJ wouldn’t have the Globe if TH hadn’t shared the story details that allowed them to make a compelling movie, though.
If you are in the movie or TV business, a Golden Globe certainly is important to your career.
I was surprised that Nicole Kidman didn’t thank Alexander Skarsgard. He really gushed about her in his acceptance speech.
In other things not important, I thought it was interesting - take Big Little Lies for instance - how there were two tables of cast members - and no where near each other. Nicole had to look WAY over to see Alexander when he won and vice versa.
Actually seemed like lots of the winners had a LONG walk to the stage - sometimes I thought their walk was going to be longer than the music playing!
For an actor/director/producer/screenwriter/composer? Yes.
Possibly one of the producer’s “plus one?” At least she was tangentially tied to the events of the evening, as opposed to Kendall Jenner, whose connection to the Golden Globes is… wait, it will come to me… 
Because it’s Hollywood.
123. Why weren't Rose McGowan, Daryl Hannah, Rosanne Arquette, and Mira Sorvino invited to the show since their stories were certainly tied to the events of the evening? It seems their "exclusion" kind of tarnished the show.

I don’t think anyone here on CC has the invite list on hand to know who was invited vs. who decided to attend.
So what’s the next awards show to look forward to??? 
Nobody said that Hollywood is statistically representative sample of the US population.

127. I agree with that. Just as the theme of the Golden Globes Sunday night wasn't a statistically representative sample of the U.S population.
This is the same group of people who gave Roman Polanski a standing ovation in 2003. Their concept of right and wrong is skewed.
I don’t know who exactly was in the audience in 2003 but as pointed out in numerous articles its been stated Meryl Streep was and was standing for him. She has had 15 years to acknowledge that mistake. She has not. Oprah speech now is going to be followed up by showing her kissing HW. His sexual harassments goes back many many years. It going to be hard for many to believe that either Oprah or Meryl had no knowledge of it.
I’d suggest you go read our CC #MeToo thread before you make that assumption.
I agree that if they were truly not invited, Rose McGowan, Roseanne Arquette, Daryl Hannah and Mira Sorvino all should have been.
I also very much agree with @intparent that #timesup and #metoo are significantly representative of a large part of the population. Of course, we all know there is also a significant part of the population denying these issues (or at least unhelpfully mocking efforts to bring awareness and change)
No, Rose McGowan, Asia Argento, Rosanna Arquette, Annabella Sciorra, Daryl Hannah and Mira Sorvino were not invited, which makes all the sentiment expressed ring hollow IMO. Argento suggested that having the victims there would be a “downer”.
Allegedly. AFAIK, none of those 3 have said one way or the other. If true though, as I stated upthread, I would perceive it a snub if I were Mira Sorvino and I was not invited but Kendall Jenner (whose claim to be an “actor” is tenuous at best and is not known as an activist) was.
Asia Argento stated she was not invited.
According to imbd, she hasn’t done much professionally in terms of mainstream films or tv, in quite a while. They can’t invite everyone who was molested by Weinstein; the room isn’t big enough.
That’s the problem with turning an awards show into a rally. The awards should be about the awards – who did the best job acting, directing, etc. They could just as easily have a televised rally tonight – fill a stadium, have Oprah speak, etc.
But they couldn’t invite Mira Sorvino who won an academy award and a golden globe previously so Kendall Jenner could be there? And by the way was blacklisted by HW.
