@RishiS97 I also applied back in August and mine is placed in “past applications” tab as well. As long as you received the supplemental form and hang tight email, I wouldn’t worry too much.
@HeadInTheClouds Just out of curiosity, why did you apply to BOLD 2019 twice? Couldn’t you just update your materials on the original application if you had an updated resume or something?
@BladeHunter, I saw that since I applied in early August I would also have the opportunity to apply another time and I just did it haha. Also if I applied twice there could be twice the chance of getting an interview I figured.
Do you guys think it’s too late to get a referral? I had a great call with an employee and he offered me one, but I don’t know if I should just save it for next year, or if it’s even applicable right now.
@kingkhan11 Do it! It wouldn’t hurt, right? After the process of getting the referral, I would be sure to email the Bold email to make sure your referral is in the system. Keep ya head up.
@kingkhan11 I’ve emailed the bold team about submitting a referral before, but they said it’s too late to submit one after the application deadline. I guess it wouldn’t hurt to ask for one though.
@HeadsInTheClouds Congrats! How would you rate the difficulty of the interview? Do you mind sharing some of the questions asked?
I would rate the interview a 3 to 3.5 out of 5. It was very moderate, I honestly couldn’t tell the difference between the behavioral and hypothetical questions. Both were being thrown at me one after the other. Unfortunately, I can’t go into any details about questions (everyone that does interviews sign NDA’s). Also take guides that claim to know the process or questions with a grain of salt, there’s a lot of incorrect information online.
I was interviewed for a position in the Communications department, not sure if that would count as marketing, but close.
Also, for the part about marketing and the comms. department, it would depend what type of comms. you’re dealing with. If it’s comm. policy, then I would say no, you’re probably closer to legal aspects. If you’re doing communication & distribution strategy, then I would consider it marketing related.
@jsp283 I’ve applied for marketing and haven’t heard anything back yet either. However, they did say interviews go all the way through April, so gonna try and keep a positive mindset for now.
@jsp283@BladeHunter I also applied for marketing and haven’t heard anything back either. Let’s keep our hopes up! The marketing department might still be sorting out intern business right now.
I applied for marketing as well. I got an email at the beginning stating that my resume was routed to the marketing dept specifically and have had a few recruiters looking at my LinkedIn but that’s all excluding the occasional hold tight emails.
@kingkhan11 I agree with headsintheclouds you should add the referral. it’s not too late as they’re still in the process of choosing people!
And sorry for the late response @student3488, it was for the gTech team and I didn’t have a referral. My first 45 minute interview was on Monday and I’m doing my second one later this week. I’m pretty nervous for the results honestly.
@pa55ioncandy, thank you for the kind words! I praying and putting good vibes in the universe for you too! We both are in the same boat now haha. Use having that other interview on another day as a benefit! You’ve got more time to prepare! Finish strong -
Hope to connect with you all in person when we make the cut!
hi guys! sorry for just hopping into the thread now–i’ve been following it for a while and i’m so excited for everyone!
i’m also still waiting to hear back and have been receiving the hang tight emails but i have a competing offer and the deadline to respond is the 25th. they made it sound like a hard deadline, but im sure i could get it extended by maybe a week or two.
do you think i should email the bebold email or just wait it out?
I have an opportunity to study abraod this summer, and I have to give my decision by February 1st. Should I email them about this as a “competing offer”? And has anyone heard back from Marketing or People Ops lately?
