'Got' Dumber?

You get the gist.

Removed because I realize what I typed made me look like a class-A whiner.

Work harder. It seems like you think you're a great student, but really you're not applying yourself enough because you're overestimating your abilities. Your move was too long ago to (in my opinion) still be affecting you, especially since you've had two years of algebra prep courses.

So just try harder, study, stay after class if you have questions...put in effort to get better.

Oh, jeez. Okay, maybe I came off as egotistical and overconfident in myself. xD
I'm advanced in every subject except math which is why this perplexes me.

I'm happy to be taking Alg 2 next year and not Geometry. It'll be a nice boost and I'll feel comfortable with the level I'm at, at least. :)

Math has always come easily to me. That's why I'm bitter, lol.

hahaha average math boy my little brother is past algebra and he's not even in middle school...also now that you're in Cali the competition is even harder!!!! Except if you just take the summer courses, you'll be right back in the mix.

and highest GPAs up til 6th...?? dude elementary school.

also, why the change from "I" to "We" to "I"?? If OP trollin, well played.

It just sounds like you're a little over confident. If you haven't been studying, do so, and if you're smart like you say you'll see improvement.

hahaha average math boy
I'm a girl. How awkward for you.

my little brother is past algebra and he's not even in middle school...also now that you're in Cali the competition is even harder!!!!
That's true. I agree with this. We have a freshman class of over 1,000.

Except if you just take the summer courses, you'll be right back in the mix.
Thankfully.

and highest GPAs up til 6th...?? dude elementary school.
Just so you could adjust for what position I was in at the time.

also, why the change from "I" to "We" to "I"?? If OP trollin, well played.
I was referring to my parents and me when saying 'we'.

Um, forget what I said. Nice try, troll. You can't handle algebra but you want to take Pre-Calculus over the summer?

._. Honestly.

..What? I'm not trolling. o_o
I was just .. confused by what HMudd said to me..

and I can handle Algebra well. Why are you being so rude?

Naw...lapp isn't trolling. At least I didn't see it as trolling.

I edited the first post because it was a wall of whiny text. :)
Ha.

...Dude, you said in the OP you conveniently just removed that you're having trouble right now, in 9th grade, in algebra.

But now you can handle algebra, and you want to take pre-calc over the summer. If you're not trolling, you're incredibly confusing.

I never said I had trouble in algebra.

I think you misread. o_o

No lappel asked she can take precalc over her sophomore-junior summer so she can take ap cal junior year so she can take ap stats senior year...

^ Thanks! Yeah, that's what I wrote in my other thread. ~

Nope, that definitely was a different thread. This one was asking if she was getting dumber because she wasn't doing so well in math at the moment.

But whatever, this whole thing is just a little too weird for me to want to continue responding.

She said she was doing average and she didn't want to be average. She wanted to be exceptional...

Well alright then; my comments still stand. Get a firm grasp on algebra before considering moving on to pre-calc.

Someone once told me that pre-calc is a lot like an algebra III course.

That legitimately sent shivers down my spine at the time I heard it. Math is not my forte, nor has it ever been.

I agree with iluv. About the first half of precal is graph behaviors and their equation and whatnot so you want a strong foundation.

I have Algebra down pat. :)

When I said average, I meant my class level, not grade or learning ability.
I don't know why this is such a big deal! xD I'm confident that I would be able to handle enrolling in Pre-Calc over sophomore-junior summer. But thank you very much for your opinions, iluvbooks. I will not shun you for having them. ;)

@Above - I'm the most wary of Calculus.. and inversely, looking forward to Statistics.
