We have some heavy fog here too. I was driving 45 on the freeway. There were several people behind me (no one in front) and no one felt like passing me. Visibility was probably 100 feet at best.

30 degrees – nice and toasty!

Horrible weather here today. Freezing rain all day. It just poured down and was basically ice as it fell. Ugh!

We had freezy stuff too and the roads were a mess at rush hour. My driveway is so icy it is barely navigable.

WHEN WILL IT END

It felt downright balmy today at 35 degrees. Roads were great. Phew.

I pranced around the Walgreens parking lot today with no scarf, no gloves, and my coat unzipped and hanging off my shoulders. I’m a loon but it felt great to be back to normal winter!

I’ve been hiding in my office all week in my boots… I brought dress shoes to change into in case I had a meeting but never changed into them. I guess now I have no excuse not to dress appropriately again. (Funny, the one meeting I did have, I DIDN’T CHANGE THE BOOTS!)

Ah yes…screwy weather. Tomorrow it is supposed to be 50 and raining all day. Bleh.

We had 2 inches of snow last night sometime. The timing must have been bad…most schools had a two hour delayed opening.

36 degrees in Boston. Gonna dig out my shorts!!

so, we had 80 degree weather, but flooding. All schools were closed. Cars under water, Several deaths This is FL. Mother Nature must be angry.

My parents decided to extent their vacation another week because it was just too cold this week in FL and it’s supposed to be warmer where they are this coming week.

I keep telling her, “MOTHER! Don’t you KNOW we have a WEDDING to plan?!” 4 months to the day and I still don’t have a florist, any clothing picked out for the men, or any of the little details figured out. I have like a 20 page questionnaire asking for intricate details about every little thing you can imagine due to the venue in a couple of weeks, most of which has not yet even been discussed much less decided. IT NEEDS TO WARM UP IN FL SO MOM WILL COME HOME AND HELP ME. D:

Ema, let me just say, you make me so glad I picked the venue I did.

Though we did just outgrow it as a wedding and a reception place so now my wedding party and I get to take a boat to our reception on the other side of the lake :D

Ema:

Just decide. Mom probably thinks she’s doing you a favor by not interfering!

There are no wrong decisions. At the end of the wedding day, you will be married!!

A 20 page bridal questionnaire would make me want to elope.

Ema-I can’t get my DIL to pin down those things, the wedding is in 5 months, and we are 20 minutes apart. It’s driving me nuts. I want to help and am glad to be involved but it’s time to make some decisions. How about I send her to FL with your mom and I’ll come help you :)

In weather news, it’s 37, rained all night and is a sloppy mess. The garage floor is puddled water so I’ve switched from a shovel 2 days ago to a big squeegee. It is very nice to run to the post office without bundling up like the Campbell’s soup kid.

We finally ventured out last night for the first “fun” thing in well over a week. I went and had an early birthday dinner at one of my favorite restaurants about 40 minutes away.

On the way back, my fiance hit a patch of ice while pulling out onto the main street and we slid. He hates driving as it is (I was um… unable to drive last night) and was shaking after we slid out into the intersection (there was a car coming who was luckily able to stop). I couldn’t believe there was still ice- much of the snow is already melted and it was nearing 40!

I am not allowed to make many of these decisions by myself because they involve money and mom is paying. >.< I need some info from her before I can proceed and she likes to decide everything as we go, so I am stuck until she gets back. She wanted nothing to do with the rehearsal dinner, though, and I got that booked while she was gone! And it’s funny, this rehearsal dinner is a party I booked at a really nice pizzeria/italian restaurant–pizza/pasta/salad/soft drinks, and it is going to cost about a third of what I spent on our engagement/housewarming barbecue for the same number of people-- I’m never throwing a party at home again. I am still recovering financially from that barbecue.

I think the questionnaire is actually a good thing that will be very helpful once I actually figure some things out. It is all the who goes where, what do I want where, what do I need and when and where do I need it. Who does what, and when and how. The advantage/disadvantage to having an all inclusive venue that does everything for you is they need to be told what to do! It probably isn’t actually 20 pages, it just feels like it and half of their questions prompt ten more from me! XD

I was napping this morning and I heard what sounded like pouring rain. I am going to assume some icy conditions are here to stay even if it is warming up. I AM however going to take the antifreeze out of my shower and start using it again. If it freezes we really have to do something about that pipe in the spring because there is no excuse for it anymore!

52 here and pouring rain. Yuck.

48 with on and off rain in Albany. I’m not complaining, though. But the dampness has made me turn the heat up higher than I’ve had it all week. Just pushed it to 68.

I don’t know about you guys but I woke up with a massive sinus headache. I’d rather it be cold all winter than go up and down between two extremes.

Hey, Em, I woke up with that kind of headache, too! It’s going to be in the mid-40s today. It was 7 below zero night before last. Ack. We had to cancel a weekend trip up to our cabin, because it’s raining even in the mountains. It would be too dangerous getting up our hill on a snowmobile if there was rain/freezing rain.
