<p>Wanted to add that I’m happy that Esperanza Spalding beat out Justin Beiber for best new artist. She’s terrific!</p>
<p>I did NOT like that Arcade Fire group. I’m all about some rock, but that was just … yuck!</p>
<p>H and I LOVED Bruno Mars, B.O.B., and Jenelle Monae!! (and H doesn’t really like that kind of music)</p>
<p>Also really liked Mumford & Sons and Arcade Fire.</p>

<p>Bob Dylan needs to stop singing in public. D saw him recently and was very disappointed. Now I see why.</p>
<p>OMG and they just won Album of the Year. My husband likes them, but I do not!</p>

<p>Their music is awesome … kind of a retro vibe, and very edgy. D has seen them live and says they are incredible.</p>
<p>Arcade Fire is great - not all of their music is like the first song they did. They have a more diverse repertoire.</p>
<p>Wow, they’re Canadian and I’ve never even heard of them! I may be asked to give up my citizenship. ;)</p>
<p>OK, West Coast Grammies are on!! Lady Gaga’s “placental” outfit was totally out of this world! Her dancers were amazing. The song was very Madonna-esque.</p>
<p>^^Right after that…the group won Album of the Year! I thought they were bad.</p>
<p>(edit…lots of posts went up in the interim but that group that did not seem like music, won album of the year…and I must be getting old because I disliked it a lot AND never heard of them)</p>
<p>I have to admit that I take a certain guilty pleasure in watching Lady Gaga.</p>
<p>BunsenBurner…I also thought the dance production with Lady Gaga was well done.</p>
<p>I loved Martina’s shiny dress! The rest of the Aretha tribute singers wore “lace sacks”.</p>
<p>BB…not Jennifer Hudson! She looked statuesque in what seemed like a tank top and fitted pants.</p>
<p>I thought Jennifer Hudson looked amazing (and her voice was even better).</p>
<p>Oops, I forgot about Jennifer! She did look stunning.</p>
<p>OK, am I the only one here who does not think that Justin-Whatever is either cute or talented? His singing was atrocious. I’m with Ozzie - “Who the <em>bleep</em> is a Justin Beiber?” ;)</p>

<p>I agree BunsenBurner–even when I was twelve, I would not have been attracted to the safeness and blandness of Bieber. Maybe he’ll go away soon?</p>
<p>Anyone who questions Arcade Fire’s win needs to listen to The Suburbs. Actually they should probably listen to Funeral which was even better than The Suburbs.</p>
