July 4th and Maybe Extended Weekend Activities

Wow, how did we get to July already. First of all, HAPPY CANADA DAY to all who celebrate. Plans for this holiday week? Guests? Food? Trips? Fireworks? Vacation? Special drinks or desserts? Cooking out, eating out? Do you have an extended weekend if you work or do you have to work on the 5th?? Our two out of town kids + one spouse and one dog will come home for a few days. Plans include lots of time around the pool if the weather cooperates and a traditional July 4th cookout. For some reason the typical homemade baked beans, some type of potato salad/pasta salad and simple stuff on the grill sounds amazing. We won’t go to any fireworks but should be able to see 1 or 2 shows from our deck. Fireworks are ok to me. Fun for a few minutes. Not fun for the dogs though.
