Have you ever ordered from Wayfair?

World Market is a hit or miss in my experience, you really have to see the item in person to make sure the quality is ok.

I am thinking of ordering this for the dining corner in our “new” dilapidated shack:

Kind of a cheaper cousin of Nrdsb’s gorgeous table.

I am happy to read the positive feedback for Wayfair purchases. My daughter works or them

Love that table BB! My D is a West Elm fanatic! Watch - they occasionally have good sales AND do frequent clearance!

@bunsen burner- I love that table!!

I’ve found that Wayfair’s prices are consistently among the lowest available online. Our time is split between two states, one of which is Washington, which means our Amazon purchases are subject to Washington’s confiscatory sales tax. Hence Wayfair.

Oh boy…

BB! Not my cup of tea.

LOL, not mine either, but I had a good laugh.

WOW.

The best-priced glass top dining (or other) tables are sold by Pier1 (I looked everywhere). The glass (in 3 different sizes) is sold separately, but still a good value, especially when it is on sale, or with a coupon. I bought a similar one, but lighter wood color. Very nice and sturdy.

I’m late to this, but I bought a leather sectional sofa on Wayfair - it’s handsome and VERY comfortable. Purchase and delivery were a breeze, and the price was fantastic.

Not Wayfair, and not their prices… Someone please stop me form buying this for Mr.

Hope this is ok if I bring this up - don’t want to start another complete different thread about this since it’s related (and maybe we’ve “talked out” the Wayfair question…)

What about Costco for shipped furniture options? Anyone have experience positive or negative with the products or service? I’m looking to buy 2 “club chairs” for an area of my living room. I seem to like nothing look wise + price wise in our area so far. I found these on Costco - I do enjoy leather. https://www.costco.com/Louisa-Tufted-Bonded-Leather-Club-Chair.product.100127689.html

The shipping is built into the price. If you don’t like the product it looks like they can be returned to the store. We have two locally. ( I actually should probably make certain this chair isn’t available in local stores…) I also requested a fabric swatch which it states you can do…we will see if they can do that.

Any comments on Costco furniture/shipping? These chairs wouldn’t get heavy use - I want to make an area with two of these on either side of a small table and then a shared ottoman.

I ordered a computer chair from costco.com recently and was very satisfied. The packing was excellent – really sturdy. I knew it wouldn’t be too difficult to return it to the store if I didn’t like it. I’ve never tried ordering upholstered furniture, patio furniture or the heavy wood stuff.

abasket, we got our Tempur mattress shipped to us from Costco - no issues. And the items can be returned to the local warehouse, no questions asked.

It’s fine by me if other suppliers are discussed!

The advantage of Costco is the return policy. I got a leather sofa (I think it was about 3K, not cheap, not expensive) but it was junk, horrible, and failed really quickly, I asked for it to be returned at the point when it was structurally problematic (about 1 yr in) and they just took it away and refunded without a problem. Costco doesn't stock quality furniture any more so it really isn't worth the risk for mid or higher priced items. I suspect it is easy enough to cross check suppliers in a local furniture store as they seem to just have branded stuff.

I bought a huge office printer from Costco that was mailed to our home. I believe it was shipped from manufacturer, Xerox. Price was good, as was return policy as it didn’t work so we took it back to Costco for full refund and got another shipped to us.

We purchased a platform bed with built in desk from Costco and hauled it home and assembled. It was well-packed and included all pieces needed for pretty easy assembly (I’m not handy). Lots of things have significant added cost to ship to HI (IF they will even ship here), so we don’t often do that.

We did buy a Design Within Reach leather sofa that was shipped to our home and put where we designated in our living room. It arrived in perfect condition and they let us choose which legs we wanted for the sofa when they delivered.

Wayfair sells lab bench organizers (HPLC column organizer, anyone?) and medical furniture. Did you know that? I had no idea. Lol.
