Help! Our Website's Platform is Shutting Down Soon!

We just got this lovely email: “Pleased be informed that we are now in the process of discontinuing the service of the website platform, effective immediately. All data will be deleted and clients will no longer be able to access www.iconosites.com to log in to their accounts after 6/30/17.”

What do I need to do? We worked really hard on our company’s website - lots of photos, resumes, and project info. Can I transfer the information to a different platform? Who would I engage to do that? Ugh, what a disaster. We’re too busy to deal with this right now. I’ve already wasted most of today trying to get our wireless to work - Spectrum’s takeover of Time Warner has caused havoc. Our computer guy said he’s spent lots of time fixing issues the last few weeks.

I personally have no idea, but hope this article will help in some way:

You can switch platforms. I switched something from Joomla to Wordpress a few years ago. It’s a pain though, so hire somebody to do it for you if you have some money not dedicated for kids’ college tuition.

There have got to be lots of web people in the Portland area who can take care of this for you. Can your regular computer guy do it? If not, just do some googling, make a few calls and pick someone who has expertise in web presence for small business, including registering domains and all that.

is it an e commerce website with a shopping cart?
