High School Class of 2013

^^^That is completely true. Or people that are too lazy to go to their lockers throughout the day

I’m way too paranoid about being late to class to go to my locker throughout the day. Plus, this year I’ll have only 3 classes in school. The others are at a local university and one is online. I won’t need much during school

Yeah, the worst is having a locker that is on the complete opposite side of school away from all my classes. And thats cool, I wish I could take classes at a local university rather than my high school. Getting so tired of it lol

I never use my locker; I keep my backpack and binders organized.

We can’t use our lockers between classes.

I go every class. My bag is like 12 inches long most I ever have is one notebook and one folder.

I carry one notebook and sort my notes into binders at the end of the day [or, more realistically, at the end of every week]. Plus we don’t generally need our textbooks to class.

How long you all have between classes? We have 3 minutes, which seems like 20 seconds when actually trying to go to my locker between classes. Out of the six hours we are in school every day, we should atleast have 5 minutes :P

Yes why would you guys need to carry textbooks to school? You work out of the textbook? Ew.

And my school, while not rich, still has enough textbooks for the classroom as well.

Ew…I just realized my textbooks this year are probably going to be mad expensive.

^ Your school makes you buy your textbooks? Why?

My schools so cheap… I got 4 textbooks to bring home this year and did work out of 0 of them… I actually still had them under my bed from when I got them. We only had to carry our spanish back and forth, but it wasn’t thick so it wasn’t that bad.

we just borrow textbooks for the year with our school and then return them. we have to pay for any we didn’t return by the end of senior year.

Same thing, and if we don’t return them, we don’t get our report card lol.

We can’t graduate if we don’t pay or give them back.

We have 6 mins in between classes, but the campus is huge and it takes at least 5 to get to class. Plus you have to deal with the people who move as slowly as possible and refuse to get out of your way. I can’t risk being late because you’re given ISS for that which goes on your permanent record.

If your late to class three times in my school, you get detention. If you don’t show up for detention, you get another one lol… I rather have a few extra minutes between classes and have the school day be like 15 minutes longer.
How many people are in your senior class that you have a huge campus?

We have 5 minutes but my school is 3 blocks long and 4 floors high.

^my school isn’t that large, we also have 5 minutes, and it takes maybe 7 minutes to get fromone side to the other if you rush

how do you do it? o_o

@Federico; Didja find it? I have the Jester. It’s the simplest one.

I used to have 5 minutes in HS, but we changed times (start time 30 minutes later, end time 27 minutes later) so now we have 3, with a 13 minute break after 2nd block. It’s insane and awful. 3 minutes is good for a fast walker (so myself, also i’m not afraid to shove freshman that are bigger than I am) but everyone (students and teachers) enjoyed the 5 minutes because those 2 minutes really do make a difference.

We have a congestion problem in upper B EVERY SINGLE YEAR (this year was particularly bad because they gave those lockers to freshman, kids don’t know how to walk), so people gave up getting to classes on time, so teachers don’t really check if they’re late (except my Spanish teacher, sheesh senor). Any non-freshman knows the alternate routes and I use them, but holy ****, my legs are exhausted by the end of the day because I have to runwalk down the halls to get to class on time. I easily log 5k+ steps on my pedometer in our teeny building.

RE: textbooks; lol what are textbooks. We have them but never use them. Last year I had one for bio, spanish, USH, and algebra. Bio was given out ‘if you want it’, USH was only used for busywork assignments with substitutes, Spanish was used ~dozen times and it had an online companion, algebra was used every night but there was an online version.

Also, I don’t go to my locker, which I realize is a huge waste because my locker is in the most lusted-after hallway (heh, there are…some…perks to being in JROTC) because it’s quiet and just off of upper B (the main pathway). I just hate having to stop at my locker because again, 3 minute stopping times, and i’m a minimalist and just hate carrying crap around and have nothing in it anyways, save for a change of clothes for PT.

Mine is probably like stressed’s. It’s large, but not nearly as big as the person’s before him. It takes forever to get across campus though.
