High School Class of 2014

@jereve–Well, she normally teaches 4 Latin I classes and 1 Latin II class, but this year, she taught 5 Latin I classes. I think that she’s teaching one Latin II class next year, so hopefully I will have her again. I’ve heard that the other Latin teacher is even better though, so I’m looking forward to whatever I have next year.

xD
No way I’ll ever get into college competing with you guys.

@evanh that’s awesome  I really wish I could take two languages. My counselor told me that as a junior I can either take Latin or do IB music theory… Everyone says to do the music because it’s waited plus 1 gpa wise, and it’s of course an IB class… I guess it would show colleges that I do have a passion for music… But I really want to learn more languages); all in time I guess. Sorry for that rant :stuck_out_tongue:
Next year I’ll either get super duper hard French teacher or can’t teach for her life old lady French teacher D: not looking forward to that… You’re lucky:)

@dengeo

My sentiments exactly. I see many newspaper blankets and Ramen noodles in my future. D:

You and me, emeraldEvi. Woot!

I’ll probably end up joining you guys (; ramen noodles aren’t THAT bad…

Omg i just passed a tough skating test!!!

@luv2sk8 awesome  CONGRATS! What’d you have to do?

Haha, that’s how I feel on here a lot of the time, too. Especially when I read the chances threads. I guess a Hoover-blanket ain’t so bad.

Lol right? I feel like I’m gonna be a hobo or something… At least we are starting thinking about college early so we have the time :)

I know-- at school I’m like, woot, I’m so ahead of all you SUCKERS…and then I check CC. -_-

A scheduling question for you smartie-pants: I have the option to take either AP Human Geo or Journalism 1 sophomore year. I’d love the AP for the possible GPA-boost and, y’know, AP-ness, but I can’t be on the newspaper unless and until I get to the Journalism 2 class. Is being on the newspaper staff eventually worth skipping out on the AP? I’m also taking AP World History and Drama 2 (very involved in speech tournaments).

:D Thanks!

Hmmm since you are already taking AP world, I guess either or  do what you love though. I’m super obsessed with getting the whole GPA boost so by the end of high school I’ll have like a 5… Lol… But ya it’s kinda hypocritical for me to say do what you love because that’s not really what I chose… But it would make the most sense. Good luck smarty pants ;)

jereve, Merci!
I did this test with US figure skating. This is the 3rd test I passed. I did the same test late last year but I failed. So today I tried again and I passed!!

@emerald, is it possible for you to take journalism without giving up the ap? I’ll probably face the same problem somewhere down the road. I actually was thinking about being a journalist in the future so I really would hate to give up the opportunity of taking journalism and journalism honor. In your school, is it one year or half year? if it’s half year it’s better.

I go a small private school; so while classes don’t necessarily have an H/AP in front they are generally considered to be Honors/AP level unless otherwise noted.

Schedule for next year

English 10
History 10
French II
Bioethics
Advanced Algebra+Trigonometry (possibly Precalculus if I can get credit for the stuff I’m doing over the summer)
Chemistry
Elective; probably finite mathematics or a fun art class.

Where is your school? Bioethics sounds like a really fun class.

@luv2sk8 that’s so awesome  congrats on that! And congrats on taking the test again after you failed the first time, that takes guts! How long have you skated for? I think it’s the most beautiful sport… EVER.

Geometry

PE II
Band
Piano I
Spanish I

I also plan on taking the SAT or ACT but idk which one I should take :(

@evanh14 Capital region NY; but it’s not Emma Willard or the Albany Academies. If you live near Albany you probably will have heard of it and be able to figure it out from this :)

Haha, sorry, don’t live there, so i dunno. But you probably haven’t heard of my school either. I wish they offered bioethics.
