Congrats Evan!

And to those of you who get to use notes on exams-- DIE. >_>

@evan it’s hard to be happy for you when my exam is still a month away…meaning another month of school…ugh! But in all seriousness that is so awesome! Good job!!! Our final is set by the county not the teacher so I’m actually nervous now…

@emerald we only get notes on health… Which is nice, but it’s health…

Thanks guys! The four exams I’ve found out my grades on have been 100, 100, 94, 95. there are two I haven’t found out about, and tomorrow is biology. Eeeek. I need a good grade on this.

@itsasign – do you go to a private Christian school?

yeah i do. good luck tomorrow!

Hey guys! What sort of extracurriculars do y’all do? Speech and debate, anyone?

I tried to do debate, but the people in it were quite odd and the whole formalizing of the debate format got really annoying.

@itsasign – thanks!! I made a 91, which is enough to give me an A for the year!!

Ahhh CONGRATS! must be a relief! My teacher told me if I get 100 on our state exam I don’t have to take the final
but that’s probably not going to happen…

@ evanh14 thanks for the thread I’ll be in the class of 2014 too! & I just love Latin semper ubi sub ubi :)

@hermitcrabs6 – Haha, I see what you did there. That’s funny, and chessy, so it’s right up my alley. I may start using that.

Joining in a little late :)

Next Year I’m taking:

Academic Biology (we have to do a huge project for Honors)
Algebra 2/Trig
AP World History
Early Childhood
English 10 Honors
French 4 Honors
P.E.

A pretty easy year! But I’m going to try to get all A’s!!

I also play basketball and lacrosse! And I’m thinking about doing cross country in the fall!

Is it just me, or are there tons of people from Northern Virginia on here?

@canonlyhope there really are… Maybe it’s because it’s super competitive here? Either way we are kinda the best…

@singintherain what is early childhood?

North Alabama. Represent.

Hey guys! Here’s what I plan on taking:

English 10
Honors Chemistry
Spanish 3
AP European History
AP Computer Science A
AP Calculus BC
Advanced Speech and Debate

I also play tennis and soccer competitively as well as participate in debate tournaments.

Ak, that’s quite the rigorous schedule! I wish I could take Calc BC next year; alas, my school doesn’t accept a precalculus summer class. Ah well…

Quick update: I was accepted to the STEM camp counselor position! Now I’ll be able to teach elementary aged kids concepts in STEM fields for 10 dollars an hour! I’m so psyched! I just finished my last SOL today–Algebra 2. It took me about 2 hours and 40 minutes to finish. I triple checked every answer, and it payed off. I got a 600! The other day, I was told I got a 600 on World History as well. Hooray! Now my name will be featured on an SOL 600 banner in a central location of my school with a (2) next to it! I’m quite satisfied.

Anyone else with good news?

@studious I have my World 2 SOL Tuesday and bio on Wednesday… Word is the world one was really hard because our teachers didn’t use the updated syllabus or something… Did you take world 1 or 2? CONGRATS none the less I passed advanced on geometry… I thought I was gonna fail it so I’m quite satisfied… Hoping for 600 on bio and world :)

World 1. World 2 at our school is AP, so I’ll be taking that next year. The Biology SOL test was pretty hard. I ace every test in that class, and I only got a 551 (so four missed?). It’s not hard in the sense that it’s difficult material, it just has ambiguous phrasings and uncovered topics that are tested. Really annoying…
