High School Class of 2014

Already took math 2, haha. I just wanna have 3 or 2 good ones if french retake doesn’t go well…

You only need two, right? Does taking more say anything?

I was thinking of doing:

Bio (lol need to study now)
Math II :)

Would it be worth it to take Lit or World History as well?

I’m thinking of leaving CC for a while, hm. It’s addicting and stressful and there are some other alternatives now.

Don’t leave us ecouter! what alternatives?

Lol, I just want to reduce usage. It’s going to be an even more stressful year if I spend hours surfing this place and freaking out about chances/getting in arguments with people. Plus, it’s not always the best way to get info.

I pm-ed you BTW.

Aw. Bye ecouter. We’re losing the best Canadian here. :(

ecouter11 same here… I need to reduce usage on like everything (tumblr, anyone?) to keep up with everything this school year. Probs not gonna happen though…

I think I’ll take Lit just because I want to maximize my chances of having 2 really good sat 2’s… but how do you guys recommend studying? At least those of you that have taken it.

Also, would a 3 hour per day commitment to the school play work for or against me this fall in your guys’ opinions? Idk, because I know I’ll be super stressed but also I feel like EC’s are where I’m lacking the most… idk

It’s less about time and more about energy… if you can keep your energy & focus up, go for it; if not, save yourself (and your sanity) and don’t do it. I should probably take my own advice, though; I think I might be biting off more than I can handle

It might be a good thing. ECs are great for freeing our minds. I plan on spending my time with Student Council, African American Club, Asian American Club, and Gay-Straight Alliance. Hopefully all of these can free my mind.

I’m almost done with all my supplements. Hopefully I can have all rough drafts done before school starts that way I can only focus on editing and revising. That should take about 2-3 weeks for all the supplements. Yay another step closer to completing ALL my applications. :)

I’m just going to cut use, haha. I’ve noticed my forum use runs in cycles - I used to frequent a fandom forum a LOT and then I switched to tumblr and cut use of that forum, then I closed my tumblr account and spent lots of time on CC. I have a general internet addiction, I think.

Congrats, Tinny! I am not very far along on supplements- the Yale supp isn’t even out yet ugh and this school year is going to be hella hectic.

If your EC (the play) brings you genuine happiness and knowledge and whatnot, I’d go for it. But don’t load up on clubs and stuff just for apps. It’s kinda late and it won’t help, really unless it’s a ‘deep interest’ thing.

wow, now I’m worried because my senior year is the easiest yet. It’ll probably be the least stressful except for the whole college stuff.

Wow, I wish I was almost done with supplements… let alone the common app, haha. argh.
I want to do the play (I know i’d be meaningful, etc) but I honestly don’t think I can handle the time commitment… idk though… I think I’ll stick with a 2x per week hour and a half commitment…
ecouter, I think I’m addicted to the internet too… we’re like the internet-addicted generation…

Procrastination at its finest: I am currently working on an assignment that is due on my first day of school.

My first day of school is today.

haha nice… that’s probably going to be me in a week…

Hello, just found this! High school graduating '14. Mom and D share this account. Nice to meet you!

Am I the only one with no summer assignments? I mean I have to read a book (How to Read Like a College Professor), but that’s it.

No same here all I had to do was read a book and answer questions. I read the book, just have to do the questions.

I don’t have any summer assignments. Thank god.

I got 2 emails from 2 colleges offering free applications so I clicked on them to see if they offered my major, they didn’t, but then I get 2 more emails saying thank you for opening and starting the application… Creepy I thought

That’s weird haha. Yeah whenever I click on a link in a college’s email they send me stuff and say, “thanks for your interest” and everything… it’s like, all I did was click!

Random common app Q… My school uses the 4.33 scale where A+'s are worth 4.33 instead of 4. But the common app only has scale options for 4, 5, 6, etc. Do we have to convert it to the 4 pt scale for the common app, or just put it how it is?
