That awkward moment when you realize a teacher has been wanting you to ask them for a recommendation but you have been too oblivious to realize that.

My chem teacher has been asking me about my college plans and recommendations for a while and every time I would approach her to ask something she would get excited. It was just today that I asked her for a rec. She told me she knew she would have to write me a rec. Well this rec should be amazing consider how badly she wanted to write it lol.

@collegeluva Great score!! Don’t stress over your score. This may have just been an unlucky diagnostic. Take another and let us know how you do! Good luck with the Kaplan course.

Speaking of SATs, can anyone recommend me any good books for math? I hear best review from Princeton Review and Dr. Chung’s publishing. Inputs?

How’s this for a quote:
“I see now the circumstances of one’s birth are irrelevant. It is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are” -Mewtwo

I need some opinions. So for one of my outside recommenders on the common app, I wanted to ask my golf coach. Problem is that he’s not really a good writer, and I’m concerned that his recommendation might do more harm than good. Should I ask him even with these doubts?

My english teacher used to work in admissions, so i wanted him to look over my main essay. I talked I my old 11th grade english teacher Wednesday and he said I should come by Thursday morning during 2 hour freshman orientation. I slept in and cancelled. We rescheduled for Friday morning; I slept in again and didnt even tell him I wouldn’t make it. Is it rude to even ask again?

I already know I have to late test for APs and school hasn’t even started yet. I’m stuck with senior quotes too, ill share mine here when I figured it out only because you have to really know me for them to make sense

My school doesn’t do senior quotes (from what I’ve seen of past yearbooks). They’d probably all be either cliches or bad attempts at humor anyway.

My school doesn’t do senior quotes. They do what’s called senior boxes and you can put any picture that’s appropriate in them. There’s also an anonymous one, which is probably what I’m going to do. If, however, my quote is “appropriate”: “My name means love, but I hate you all.” (Not really true - my middle name means love, but I don’t really hate everyone, but it sounds funny)

Thank you TinnyT! My tutor uses Gruber’s for the verbal portion of the SAT, and it has had a huge impact on my grades and confidence. So, Gruber’s math it is! Really appreciate the feedback!

Senior quotes… hmm… No cure for senioritis? LOL.
