The yoga is great apparently, you do this thing called shaboshna “I have no idea how to spell it” and it is pretty much meditation but most kids sleep ;D.

Yeah my curriculum is crazy, even the teachers think so. My Physics teacher always tells us “YOU SHOULD BE TAKING BIOLOGY!” I don’t know why my school does that, also I hear people commonly take Human Geo -> World History -> US History…if so then my school is messed up there too.

It is a public school in my area “South PA”

@artickoalabear and @kzo does your school require you to take biology 1 before taking AP biology

Flowers, I know that you didn’t ask me, but my school does. If you wanted just general input on that.

How about other subject, like world history? My school has this thing called world cultures (H). There is no World history AP offered in my school. but I’m thinking about skip that honor class and do a online AP world so I can take the exam at the end of the year… what would you say about that?

@flowers: no, my school does not require us to take bio 1 before AP bio. We do have 3 levels of bio though since it’s the standard class for sophomores.

@shmluza: take that class in school, and then just self study WHAP. There isn’t even a need for a real online course.

thank you kzo. will taking a honor class be helpful for the ap exam? I hope my school will let me. (I’ll be in HS in the fall.)

@flowers

No, you just have to take Biotechnology before hand or during AP Bio…which I just remembered…

@shmluza: wait, so you aren’t in high school yet?
Anyway, world cultures and world history aren’t really relative to each other.

@kzo
Some schools do that, starting high school in 10th grade.

@artick: I wanted to confirm my own question and I saw that he has also posted on the 2015 thread so I assume he is in 8th

Ooo, then yeah why is he/she posting here?

@artick: because we are already in high school but only a year older.

In my school, H bio is prerequisite for AP bio, etc. I wish it was diferent though.
@anti k and Kzo, I don’t think there’s any HS starting at 10th grade. I think some younger kids come here to seek advice, which is not a problem.

Yeah shmluza, I agree with kzo, world culture should help you do ap world. you should, though, get a ap prep book and study before you take ap exam.

Hey fellow 2014 CCers, just thought I’d get in on the conversation while I procrastinate…
What are you guys all doing this summer?

Volunteer work for apps, starting to lacklusterly study for SAT/ACT and possibly begin to self-study APs if I decide to do that. What about you?

I am going to take an online class and sleep in
